Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Program Manager to oversee integration across multiple complex aerospace and defense projects. You will focus on customer relationships, cost control, scheduling, and technical planning to drive successful outcomes.

The role requires extensive experience in program management, leadership of cross-functional teams, and strong financial judgment to guide large-scale initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Project Management, Management, Engineering or related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in project or program management in the Aerospace and Defense (A&D) industry.
  • 3+ years leading medium scale projects; scope spanning 1-2 years, while leading teams made up of 5+ cross functional team members.
  • In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 12 years of related experience is required.
  • Experience with the evaluation of requests for proposals and/or quotes.
  • Experience with preparing, reviewing, and submitting proposals and/or quotes.
  • Experience with managing a complex project or larger program.
  • Demonstrated financial acumen to ensure decisions are fiscally sound and responsible.

  • Oversee total Program Integration Management for multiple complex projects and major systems, focusing on customer relationships, cost, schedule, and technical planning.
  • Track and report on project status, technical execution, and overall program performance.
  • Manage high-risk programs with budgets of $20M or greater, involving high customer interaction.
  • Supervise program and project staff to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Lead proposal tasks from first customer interaction, including defining requirements, creating basis of estimates, negotiating, and securing contract awards.
  • Participate in business resource planning and tracking in coordination with other corporate entities.
  • Identify, track, and resolve program issues and problems.
  • Manage program risks by identifying, mitigating, tracking, and managing them.
