Job summary

Project HOME in Philadelphia is seeking a Program Manager to oversee a Supportive Housing program, guiding resident services from intake to discharge and ensuring wellness and DEI commitments. You will supervise staff and interns, manage the program's operations and budget, and collaborate with property management to meet contractual obligations.

The role offers a hybrid schedule (up to one remote day per week) and a salary around $63,031 annually.

Qualifications

  • MSW or related degree; or BSW/BA with 2 years' relevant experience; or 6 years of related experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience with strong team management skills; availability for evening, weekend, and on-call duties.
  • Experience supporting individuals recovering from homelessness and/or behavioral health challenges.
  • Strong computer skills, and ability to learn computerized case management system.

Responsibilities

  • Resident Service Coordination: coordinate intake and orientation of new residents and discharge processes; assess residents' needs and progress; manage emergencies and medication room when applicable.
  • Leadership: supervise staff, conduct team meetings, train staff, and develop a DEI-focused, recovery-oriented environment.
  • Administration: ensure documentation meets obligations and manage budgets, schedules, and procurement.
  • Coordination with Property Management: collaborate with the property manager on leasehold issues, inspections, and housing certifications.

Job description

As a Program Manager, you'll oversee and manage a Supportive Housing program, creating a caring environment that supports the emotional, physical, spiritual, and mental well-being of residents. This role includes supervising staff and interns, maintaining in-depth knowledge of residents, and ensuring program operations align with the mission of Project HOME.

  • Location: House of Grace, 4226 North Park Ave. Phila, PA 19140
  • Schedule: Full-Time | Mon-Fri (9AM-5PM) | Hybrid Eligible (Up to 1 Remote Day Per Week)
  • Compensation: $ 63,031 annually

What You Will Do:

Resident Service Coordination

  • Collaborate with Central Intake and Property Management to coordinate the assessment, intake, and orientation of new residents, as well as discharge processes to ensure appropriate services and supports are in place.
  • Assess residents' needs, goals, barriers, and progress in areas such as recovery, health, education, employment, parenting, and community integration.
  • Manage resident emergencies and urgent situations, including 302 petitions.
  • Oversee the management of the medication room, as applicable.

Leadership

  • Foster a structured, supportive environment that promotes resident growth, individuality, and community connection while maintaining positive relationships with service providers, the public, and volunteer groups.
  • Conduct regular individual and group supervision, team meetings, and oversight of residential site staff to ensure residents receive appropriate services; manage staff training plans, including mandatory and skill building training.
  • Develop a person-centered environment that emphasizes diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) along with a culture of recovery and wellness.

Administration

  • Work with Directors and Compliance Department to ensure all documentation meets contractual obligations, Strategic Plan goals and KPIs. Monitor and ensure compliance with electronic data system standards.
  • Recruit and onboard staff. Manage the on-call schedule and site schedule.
  • Manage the day-to-day financial operations of the site, including annual budget and program spending, petty cash, SNAP report, purchase of goods and services, and credit card.

Coordination with Property Management

  • Collaborate with the Property Manager as a blended management team to address leasehold obligation issues, including rent arrears, inspection violations, housing instability, and incident management.
  • Oversee the timely completion of housing re-certifications, PHA income waivers, and other necessary documentation.
  • Ensure residence cleanliness and safety to protect the health of residents and staff while meeting all inspection and safety licensing regulations.

What You Will Bring:
