Job summary

University of Iowa in Iowa City seeks a Program Manager to lead the Iowa Health Professions Inventory (Iowa HPINV) and CME efforts. The role requires planning, promotion, and implementation of program elements across multiple health professions, with data-heavy oversight and strategic planning responsibilities.

The position emphasizes administrative leadership, budget management, and collaboration with OSCEP and CME staff to support statewide health workforce data and education programs.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience with data collection, relational database management, and reporting processes.
• At least one year experience working with CloudCME databases.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Leadership experience including supervising employees, excellent interpersonal skills, professionalism, customer service, and strategic planning abilities.
• Ability to organize and manage multiple simultaneous ongoing responsibilities.
• Three years of health care and/or administration experience.
• Two years of experience working with CME accreditation standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operational and financial management of the Iowa HPINV and CME to achieve goals.
• Develop templated annual reports with visual displays/analysis of each workforce.
• Evaluate program operations to meet established goals.
• Annually present the reports to profession advisory boards.
• Collect and analyze CME annual statistics for reports and accreditation requirements.
• Ensure effective data collection for workforce databases and related systems.
• Provide leadership and support for OSCEP staff and CME databases.
• Implement and plan program goals and maintain awareness of trends.
• Review and update procedures for CME and Iowa HPINV.
• Estimate resources for design, development, and maintenance of Iowa HPINV.
• Coordinate project preparation and review results for HPINV and CME.
• Lead weekly CME pre-applications meetings and budgeting processes.
• Direct budget development and ensure issues are resolved for multiple programs.
• Manage LMS and train staff on system usage as needed.
• Oversee report formats, data products, and price schedules for requests.
• Supervise monthly data sales billing and ensure proper accounting.
• Develop annual OSCEP and CME budgets with senior staff.
• Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
