Job Description
The Program Manager, Health Equity is a member of the Health Equity Team supporting the Molina Health Equity Plan. This role involves expertise in equitable strategies, community health & engagement, advocacy, health equity analytics, bias reduction, and related practices. The person will work on systemwide health equity projects aimed at reducing disparities and improving health outcomes, including community health disparities assessments, data collection, gap analysis, and intervention development, implementation, and evaluation. Focus areas include HEDIS measures and collaboration with community organizations.
The role ensures that Molina’s programs, policies, and processes incorporate cultural humility and address social inequalities affecting health outcomes across diverse groups.
Required Education: Bachelor’s in public health, sociology, history, psychology, anthropology, or related field. Background in equity and social justice topics preferred.
Preferred Education: Master’s in public health, social work, education, or behavioral sciences.
Required Experience/Skills: Cultural humility, understanding of healthcare disparities and social determinants, data analysis skills, ability to manage multiple projects, excellent communication, and proficiency in Office tools. Bilingual skills are a plus.
Preferred Experience: 1-2 years in health equity, project management experience.
License/Certification: Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.
State Specific Requirements: Remote with travel within regions, flexible schedule, residence in the community, and availability for weekends/evenings.
