Program Manager, GenAI Content at Scale

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Program Manager, GenAI Content at Scale to support our client, a large organization in the retail industry. In this role, you will help operationalize and scale GenAI-enabled content production across multiple brands by establishing structure across processes, dependencies, and interconnected workstreams. You will partner across creative, marketing, technology, operations, and enablement functions to maintain effective workflows, facilitate communication, align shared objectives, and identify training and enablement needs as the program scales. This is an individual contributor contract position with no direct reports or formal people-management responsibilities. Work Arrangement: Remote or hybrid. Candidates based in Minneapolis, MN will work in the office Tuesday through Thursday.
Job Description
- Facilitate daily standups, working sessions, planning activities, retrospectives, and cross-functional program reviews.
- Create and maintain integrated program plans, workstream roadmaps, milestones, sequencing plans, decision logs, risk logs, and dependency tracking.
- Coordinate activities and dependencies across creative, marketing, product, engineering, operations, technology, and enablement teams.
- Translate program objectives into structured workstreams, clearly defined responsibilities, actionable next steps, and measurable progress.
- Track and communicate program status, risks, gaps, dependencies, decisions, and training needs to appropriate stakeholders.
- Establish program forums and operating structures that support timely issue resolution and continued program progress.
- Maintain consistent communication and visibility across participating workstreams.
- Coordinate work across multiple stakeholders and teams without formal authority.
- Proactively anticipate program needs and identify appropriate next steps within the scope of the assignment.
- Support the development and documentation of an operating structure for multi-brand GenAI content workflows.
- Capture lessons learned and identify opportunities to improve workflows and support continued scalability.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in program management, project management, creative operations, marketing operations, product operations, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex, integrated programs involving multiple teams, stakeholders, workflows, and dependencies.
- Experience facilitating daily standups, working sessions, planning activities, retrospectives, and cross-functional program reviews.
- Experience creating and maintaining program plans, workstream roadmaps, sequencing plans, milestones, decision logs, risk logs, dependency tracking, and status reporting.
- Strong ability to translate program objectives into structured workstreams, clear responsibilities, actionable next steps, and measurable progress.
- Experience coordinating work across creative, marketing, product, engineering, operations, technology, or enablement functions.
- Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills with the ability to create clear concise program updates.
- Experience identifying risks and dependencies, surfacing areas requiring decisions, and maintaining momentum across interconnected workstreams.
- Ability to manage multiple complex initiatives in a fast-moving environment.
- Strong facilitation skills with the ability to coordinate work across multiple stakeholders without formal authority.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, anticipate program needs, and proactively identify next steps.
- Experience with project or workflow management tools such as Workfront, Smartsheet, Jira, Asana, Airtable, or comparable platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting GenAI, AI-enabled content production, creative automation, or emerging technology programs.
- Familiarity with creative development, content production, asset creation, review and approval processes, or brand workflows.
- Experience scaling a pilot, minimum viable process, or emerging capability across multiple brands, business units, or creative disciplines.
- Experience improving end-to-end workflows for scale and operational efficiency.
- Familiarity with change enablement, training-needs assessments, adoption planning, or learning-resource development.
- Experience supporting teams within a large, matrixed organization.
- Experience developing playbooks, process documentation, frameworks, stakeholder communications, and presentations.
- Familiarity with creative technology ecosystems and practical applications of AI within creative workflows.
