Job description

  • Lead Environmental Permitting and Planning efforts in Terracon's Florida Division
  • Assist staff and clients across the country
  • Mentor staff and build EPP practices throughout the Florida Division
  • Work with the national EPP team across the country
  • Promote growth, technical adequacy, chargeability/utilization and safety for the divisional EPP program
  • Manage large-scale projects, National Account programs and Sector programs comprising multiple individual projects
  • Define project scope, scale, schedule and budget with clients
  • Coordinate clients, stakeholders and project managers to deliver projects and programs
  • Design, communicate and implement project/program management plans and schedules
  • Lead safety efforts and ensure compliance with approved safety plans
  • Resolve operational problems across project interfaces
  • Identify and gather resources for individual projects
  • Oversee work specifications, schedules, cash flow, budgets, forecasts, materials, equipment, staff and contractors
  • Estimate costs, resources and time required
  • Monitor activities, allocate resources and assign tasks
  • Collaborate with operational leadership, National Account Managers and Sector leaders on financial success
  • Conduct project and program meetings and prepare status reports
  • Support and direct major projects and client pursuits, including strategy and facilitation
  • Coach and mentor project managers
  • Coordinate quality oversight, financial management, invoicing and collections
  • Manage project risk and enforce corporate risk policies
  • Communicate and enforce safety rules and guidelines
  • Promote continuous quality monitoring, improvement and quality-control standards
  • Work collaboratively across offices and regions on proposal development and project delivery
  • Participate in divisional go/no-go calls and serve as a subject matter expert
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a technical discipline practiced by the Firm, including Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, Archaeology, Historic Preservation or Ecology, and a minimum of 15 years' related experience; or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 20 years' related experience
  • A valid driver's license with acceptable violation history may be required
  • Terracon Authorized Project Reviewer required
  • Senior-level practitioner who is or is eligible to become an APR
  • Experience in Environmental Planning and Permitting (EPP)
  • Professional Engineer (PE), Professional Geologist (PG) or similar professional registration/certification relevant to the services and projects managed preferred
  • PWS or Professional Archaeologist preferred
  • Authorized Project Reviewer status preferred
