Overview

Description: Program Manager - Energy Efficiency (EE) and Demand Side Management (DSM) Programs. Location: Remote Michigan with strong preference for candidates in the Detroit Metro Region. You will build and manage relationships with manufacturers, trades, and key community stakeholders aligned with energy efficiency products and services. You will monitor and support the successful delivery of program goals across multiple functional areas, including internal operations, client support, and stakeholder management.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Build industry relationships, provide insights to ensure that programs run efficiently and effectively and respond to changing market conditions.
  • Coordinate with client and other portfolio stakeholders to ensure all program objectives are met, and adjust as needed.
  • Act as a liaison with manufacturers, distributors, and trades to stay apprised of the industry, understand trends and projections, and provide direction and insights to program teams.
  • Collaborate with regional and cross-functional teams to bring cohesiveness and efficiencies and best practices to client programs.
  • Establish milestones and monitor adherence to program plans and schedules, identify program problems and obtain solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications.
  • Manage and coordinate cross-functional teams, program costs and budgets, and monthly performance forecasting.
  • Assist technical and analytics teams to provide guidance and judgment on energy savings calculations, best practices, and ensure QA/QC standards for the program are met.
  • Analyze market trends and technologies to enhance deployment opportunities for program advancement.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Energy, Sustainability, Public Policy, Environmental Sciences, Business or related field (or applicants can substitute one year of related experience for one year of education).
  • 4+ years of experience in project/program management in energy efficiency, utility programs, public sector and/or related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated success managing complex cross-functional teams to achieve high levels of production, meet tight deadlines, and deliver compliant quality work products.
  • Expertise in single family, multifamily or commercial/industrial sectors.
  • Working knowledge of demand side management (DSM) programs.
  • Expertise in business management, building construction, energy resources, or energy policy.
  • Industry certifications including, but not limited to: BPI, PMP, CEM.
  • Professional affiliations including, but not limited to: AESP, MEECA, MEEA, ACEEE, ASHRAE, or AEE.

Pay Range

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is $81,094.00 - $137,860.00. Michigan Remote Office (MI99).
