Job summary

Apogee seeks a Program Manager to support USSTRATCOM/NC3 initiatives at Offutt AFB, NE. You will guide mission planning, systems engineering, and Agile/DevOps practices for national security programs.

The role involves coordinating with DoD partners, managing GFE/software inventory, cloud strategy discussions, and ensuring delivery of critical NC3 software and systems on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications

• Citizenship: Must be a US citizen.
• Clearance: Must possess and maintain a TS w/SCI eligibility.
• Education: BA/BS degree in a relevant discipline.
• Years of Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline, 5 of which must be in the DoD.

Responsibilities

• Provide insight and advice on DoD and commercial global enterprise trends and management.
• Opens and leads discussions with the Program Management Office and Government support contractor on effective resource use, government-furnished equipment control and management, development software strategy, Agile product production, and future Cloud deployment opportunities.
• Maintains development enterprise Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) and software inventory.
• Reviews upgrades for more capable/reliable systems resulting in best value for government.
• Designs processes and products for faster inventory accomplishment and reduced equipment redundancy.
• Centralizes requests for SMPES program software replacement/renewals resulting in faster decisions and reduced delays in providing decisions back to the developer. Meets with industry representatives on Cloud strategy and presents results to lead program engineer.
• Fuels discussion on which portions of program development (deliveries, testing, and infrastructure deployment) could be more effective in a cloud environment.
• Classified and unclassified program development deliveries, and interfaces with government Configuration Management processing for USSTRATCOM system deployments.
• Maintains contractually mandated program development/sustainment delivery records.
• Manages removable media kiosk system and advises managers on safe media transfers via portable media, DoD SAFE, and CENTRIXS.
• Represents directorate at COMSEC information exchange seminars, system training, and meets with industry representatives on future solutions.
• Processes COMSEC equipment purchases through 55 th Wing Logistics, ITAC, and NSA.
• Acquires new requirement assets for system expansion to other sites, focusing on electronic means for product deliveries instead of courier or delivery services, saving time and reducing cost.

Apogee has an exciting new opportunity for a Program Manager in support of cutting-edge research, development, and technical analysis efforts for US Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM)/J56 and the Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) Enterprise Center (NEC).

This role involves advancing mission planning and execution capabilities for strategic deterrence through systems engineering, Agile/DevOps practices, and continuous integration/delivery methodologies. Contractors will be engaged in evaluating and enhancing the survivability, interoperability, and reliability of strategic weapon systems while contributing to planning documents, test and evaluation strategies, and rapid technology fielding efforts. This is a unique opportunity to work on mission-critical NC3 software and systems that shape national defense strategies, collaborating with diverse DoD and government partners to drive innovation and operational excellence in support of the strategic enterprise.
