Job summary

Qualcomm is seeking a seasoned Multimedia HW Program Manager to drive complex semiconductor programs across schedule, performance, power, and cost. You will lead cross-functional teams to craft schedules and resource plans, manage risks, and deliver high-quality Snapdragon products on time.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in semiconductors with 3+ years in technical PM, plus experience in ASIC lifecycle, Waterfall/Agile, and strong stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 2+ years of Program Management or related work experience.
  • 1+ year of experience with operating budgets, resources, and/or project financials.
  • 10+ years of Semiconductor Industry experience with minimum 3+ years in a technical PM role.
  • Experience in complete ASIC lifecycle development (pre-silicon, silicon validation, IP development).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills at all levels.
  • Experience with Waterfall and Agile project management methodologies.
  • Experience with project schedule and resource management tools, advanced Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and influence execution of complex programs to meet plan and ensure timely delivery.
  • Organize cross-functional teams to develop project schedules, resource plans, metrics, and plans of record.
  • Identify risks and communicate mitigation plans to stakeholders.
  • Troubleshoot issues and adjust tasks, schedules, milestones, and resources.
  • Provide regular roll-up reports to senior management on milestones, metrics, and staffing.
  • Coordinate compliance with department checklists and procedures.
  • Ensure change control and development reviews are implemented.
  • Drive continuous improvement of PM metrics and processes.
  • Lead development of processes and metrics to optimize team execution and deliverables quality.
  • Lead teams through development with collaboration and a can-do attitude.

Job description

Successful candidate will be part of the Multimedia HW Program Management team, supporting the Snapdragon family of products. The role is responsible for program execution of complex semiconductor devices across schedule, performance, power, and cost, ensuring risk management, disciplined information handling, and timely delivery of high‑quality products.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, drive, and influence execution of complex programs throughout the lifecycle to meet the plan of records and ensure successful and timely delivery.
  • Organize and lead cross‑functional teams to develop project schedules, resource plans, metrics, and overall project plans of record.
  • Determine risks, develop mitigation strategies, and communicate information to internal and external key stakeholders.
  • Troubleshoot program issues and develop alternative tasks, schedules, milestones, resource plans, and processes to resolve conflicts.
  • Provide regular roll‑up and reporting to senior management on product development milestones, metrics, risk mitigation plans, and staffing status.
  • Participate in functional team reviews and coordinate compliance with department checklists and procedures.
  • Ensure change control, development reviews, and other product development processes are effectively implemented.
  • Take an active role in innovating and improving current program management metrics and processes.
  • Lead the development of processes and metrics by driving implementation of best project management practices to optimize team execution and deliverables quality.
  • Lead teams through the development process with attention to collaboration, partnering, and a can‑do attitude.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 2+ years of Program Management or related work experience.
  • 1+ year of experience working with operating budgets, resources, and/or project financials.
  • Overall 10+ years of Semiconductor Industry experience and minimum 3+ years in a technical project management role.
  • Experience in complete ASIC lifecycle development, including pre‑silicon, silicon validation, and IP development processes.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with effective communication at all levels.
  • Experience with Waterfall and Agile project management methodologies.
  • Experience with project schedule and resource management tools, advanced Excel, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Experience managing global programs/teams across different time zones.
  • Experience with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence).
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly.
  • Detail and action oriented, self‑starter, leader, delegator, and motivator.
