Job summary

KBR, Inc. is seeking a Program Manager (Contingency Hire) to lead complex government security programs onsite in Washington, with full lifecycle management from planning to sustainment.

The role interfaces with government stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams to ensure contract, technical, cost, schedule, and performance objectives are achieved. The candidate will manage risk, resources, and compliance, and will present PMR updates to the Government while coordinating budgets and schedules

Qualifications

  • Must be a U.S. citizen with active DoD Top Secret clearance.
  • PMP certification required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT management, engineering, cybersecurity, CS, or related field.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in implementing and sustaining complex security systems.

Responsibilities

  • Single focal point for quality of all FPTS services, projects, risks, personnel, activities and deliverables.
  • Brief services and deliverables to government personnel up to Executive Service level.
  • Ensure appropriate qualifications, training, security clearance, badging, and access for all personnel.
  • Manage and de-conflict multiple ongoing baseline support and technical tasks.
  • Lead the monthly PMR presentation to the Government.
  • Control and report FPTS program costs.
  • Identify dependencies and communicate findings to the Government.
  • Communicate emerging IT trends and technologies to the Government.

Program Summary:

Job Summary:

The Program Manager is responsible for the overall planning, execution, implementation, and sustainment of complex security system programs. The individual serves as the primary interface with government stakeholders and provides leadership for multidisciplinary teams while ensuring all contractual, technical, cost, schedule, and performance objectives are achieved. The Program Manager is responsible for maintaining program compliance, managing risk, directing project resources, and ensuring the successful delivery of mission‑critical security solutions in support of government customers.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the single focal point accountable for the quality of all FPTS services, projects, risks, personnel, activities and deliverables.
  • Brief FPTS services, activities, and deliverables to a wide range of individuals to include United States Government personnel up to Executive Service level.
  • Assure the right mix of management, technical, engineering, and maintenance personnel. Assure all personnel have the necessary qualifications, including training, security clearance, badging, and access privileges.
  • Manage and de‑conflict multiple ongoing baseline support and technical tasks.
  • Lead the monthly PMR presentation to the Government.
  • Manage, control and report FPTS program costs.
  • Identify FPTS system dependencies or of non‑FPTS systems dependent on FPTS systems. Document concerns and findings and present to the Government.
  • Communicate to the Government emerging trends and technologies in the information technology industry.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen. Active DoD Top Secret Security Clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT Management, Engineering, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • Current Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience implementing and sustaining complex security systems.
  • Demonstrated experience leading large technical programs, managing project execution, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, managing budgets and schedules, mitigating project risks, and ensuring successful delivery of mission‑critical security system solutions.
Work Location:

On‑site support.

Compensation:

$133,515 - $200,330. The salary range posted is for Washington, DC. The offered rate will be based on contract affordability, the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience, and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short‑term incentives, long‑term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
