Job summary

Saint Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Program Manager of Community Spiritual Care to lead spiritual support for marginalized populations within the hospital community. You will plan, administer, and evaluate collaborative programs in alignment with Dignity Health's mission and the Spiritual Care Team.

Required is a Master’s degree in theology or related field, chaplaincy experience, four CPE units, and strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Theology, Comparative Religions, Pastoral Studies, Divinity or approved by endorsing body.
• One year of Chaplaincy or ministerial experience.
• Four Clinical Pastoral Education units from an ACPE accredited site.
• Strong organizational, time management and project management skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication; strong telephone skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide empathetic spiritual care to the community as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Plan, administer, and evaluate programs of Community Spiritual Care for Marginalized Populations.
• Collaborate with Spiritual Care Director and outside organizations to integrate spiritual care.
• Assess and improve program effectiveness and partnerships with community groups.
