Job Description Summary

The Penn Center for Digital Cardiology is a collaborative effort to reimagine our approach to cardiovascular patient care with recent health tech advancements. The mission is to integrate mobile apps, health devices, and digital platforms into clinical processes to improve outcomes as well as patient and clinician experiences. The Center will support ongoing clinician efforts by creation of resources, infrastructure and technical support for the use of digital tools in day to day patient care processes. The Center will also foster incubation of rapid pilots around cardiology related technologies creating a path for deployment of these tools. A specific aim is for the robust evaluation of these technologies with research methodologies to identify the most effective tool for the right clinical scenario in the right patient at the right time. In doing so, the Center will work to build a suite of digital tools and processes that are scalable for the health system.

The Program Manager shall be responsible for the development and attainment of the service mission, short and long term goals, operational goals and objectives identified for the center, both clinical and operational. The Program Manager, in partnership with the Program Director, collaborates with clinic operations leadership teams to outline and modify workflows for digital cardiology initiatives that impact clinic operations and supports strategic management of the Center’s programs and administrative tasks. It is expected that this individual will be a strong program builder as well as strategic thinker.

Job Description

This position is contingent upon favorable funding.

Job Responsibilities

  • Determines scope and size of a project, as well as the requirements for each stage and builds a cohesive project plan with defined tasks and timelines.
  • Plans, directs, and coordinates project activities, manages resources and activities and maintains project focus by shifting priorities when necessary.
  • Manages systems and operational issues and is prepared to discuss through scheduling appropriate resources and utilizing communication tools. Participates in measurement activities, completes reports and provides project plan updates.
  • Work in a collaborative fashion across departments and institutions to ensure high performance of the program objectives. Help build linkages between hospitals and subspecialties to scale Digital programs. Will work in collaboration with the Heart and Vascular Service line to build programs across all UPHS sites as needed.
  • Helps with managing budget for program through record keeping.
  • Create and manage tracking of program information related to patient encounters that would serve as a tool to assess outcomes. This would include measures of quality improvement.
  • Organizes, facilitates and actively contributes to standing committees.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree and 3 to 5 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Salary offers are made based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, and in alignment with salary ranges based on external market data for the job’s level.
