Job description

Apply an understanding of current DoD and Air Force acquisition instructions, guidelines, policies, and processes. Support the acquisition program management of full life cycle requirements for systems, subsystems, and equipment. The position is located at Tinker AFB, OK.

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Possess program management experience supporting or leading Acquisition Category (ACAT) I or ACAT II weapon system programs. Experience in at least one modernization related acquisition phase (Milestone A, B, or C, Low Rate Initial Production/Full Rate Production).
  2. Assist in managing and organizing resources and personnel to meet task objectives and explore new approaches.
  3. Apply understanding of DoD and Air Force acquisition instructions, supporting full life cycle requirements for systems, subsystems, and equipment.
  4. Assist with documentation development such as MOAs/MOUs, SOOs, PWSs, SOWs, RFPs, UONs, ICDs, CDDs, CPDs, CFMPs, AOAs, sustainment metrics, technical reviews, and life cycle cost modeling. Coordinate documentation across functional resources and assist in planning for milestones.
  5. Support review of contractor proposals and provide advisory roles in source selections.
  6. Provide assistance in risk management, project management, process improvement, and logistics. Participate in various program meetings and activities.
  7. Assist in collection of programmatic inputs for aircraft configuration upgrades, communicate recommendations, and develop responses to internal and external taskers.
  8. Assist in producing/reviewing products like BCAs, trade-off studies, acquisition estimates, requirements documents, and strategies. Support phases from MSA to O&S, including milestone activities.
  9. Support materiel solution analyses, develop draft documentation, and assist in milestone review preparations.
  10. Perform analyses for program strategy decisions, ensure documentation consistency, and support milestone documentation coordination.
  11. Support key acquisition events such as Milestones A/B/C, SRRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs, TCMs, FCAs, PCAs, PRRs.
  12. Support division processes including MARs, DAES, SARs, and SOCCER.
  13. Provide technical support for reviews and conferences, including briefings and reports.
  14. Participate in PPBE activities, review and evaluate program budgets, and recommend solutions for cost reductions.
  15. Apply proficiency in project/program initiatives, and provide expert issue resolution in areas such as program management, logistics, maintenance, and contracting.
  16. Represent interests in the Service Core Function process, build relationships, and influence investment decisions.
  17. Support B-52 programs with data analysis and logistics support.
  18. Develop and maintain program schedules using networking software, evaluate contractor schedules, and conduct risk assessments using Monte Carlo simulations.
  19. Required Skills:
    • U.S. Citizenship due to security requirements.
    • Bachelor's degree with 12 years of relevant experience, including 5 in DoD.
    • Adjudicated DoD SECRET security clearance on first day.
    • Expertise in their technical/professional field, capable of overseeing junior personnel.
    • Support TCTO requirements and management as per TO 00-5-15.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Project.
