Job description

Blue Shield of California Foundation is seeking a Program Manager for its Aligning Systems with Communities Priorities approach team. This team supports work focused on shifting public systems toward deeper community partnership and equity focus, as well as community efforts to make those public systems more accountable to their health and safety priorities.

Key responsibilities for the Program Manager include supporting grantmaking and due diligence, managing grantee and stakeholder relationships, and partnering with team members to explore new areas of work. This position is central to the success of the Aligning Systems to Communities initiative, and reports to the Senior Program Officer leading that team. Strong candidates have program management experience, including some grantmaking experience with nonprofit organizations, community based or philanthropic organizations, or public institutions. The also have strong interpersonal skills to be able to interface effectively with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
