Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Program Manager in Washington, DC to oversee and coordinate multi‑discipline activities for radar deployment. You will interface with internal teams on technical performance, schedules, and risk, ensuring on‑time milestones and strong customer satisfaction.

You will lead design, development, integration, and test processes and manage resources to meet production targets. Ideal candidates bring 8+ years in program management, aviation/production domain

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in program management.
  • Experience with business and project management tools and procedures.
  • Domain experience in aviation and/or production.
  • Prior experience in Air Traffic Control radars.
  • Must be highly organized and be an effective leader, communicator, decision maker and able to inspire teams to meet production targets.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate program activities including interfacing with internal teams on technical performance, schedule adherence, and potential program challenges.
  • Assess program risk analysis.
  • Track program progress and ensure on-time completion of major production milestone activities.
  • Collaborate with a team across various disciplines who support a global production effort to make deployment of the radars successful.
  • Master knowledge of design, development, integration, and test processes for the program.
  • Execute strategic focus to meet delivery commitments, exceed customer satisfaction, and achieve growth plans.
  • Communicate program status, issues and resolution plans across all major stakeholders including Raytheon senior management, customers and major subcontractors.
  • Identify and address program challenges, developing solutions such as resource allocation or changes to contractual specifications.
  • Influence and negotiate elements with customers to achieve enterprise commitments while improving customer satisfaction.
  • Establish high‑level customer relationships to foster long‑term collaboration.
  • Travel approximately 25%, both domestic and international.

Requirements
  • Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.
  • Prior experience in program management.
  • Experience with business and project management tools and procedures.
  • Domain experience in aviation and/or production.
  • Prior experience in Air Traffic Control radars.
  • Must be highly organized and be an effective leader, communicator, decision maker and able to inspire teams to meet production targets.
