The Program Manager Will Work With The Deputy Director Of Advanced Capital Planning And The Program Manager Of Sponsor Engagement To Support the Sponsor Agencies In Planning Their Capital Needs And Address Citywide Strategic Goals For Public Buildings, Including, But Not Limited To
Duties include providing expertise in design and construction and lead a team of experienced technical staff who perform facility assessments of sponsor agency portfolios. Through review of sponsor programmatic needs, operation and maintenance requirements, energy use, and analyses of existing building conditions, selected candidates will develop a comprehensive understanding of the capital needs of each building to advise in the preparation of future funding requests and building lifecycle budget planning. Responsibilities include defining necessary scope in the design and construction of diverse building types, especially older buildings from the 19th and 20th century, leading team(s) conducting in-depth building surveys, identifying deficiencies, and prioritizing funding. Selected candidate will work with a cost estimating team to produce fully itemized facility assessment reports and cost estimates suitable for budget planning purposes.

ADMINISTRATIVE PROJECT MANAGER - 8300B
The candidate must have a thorough understanding of current architectural/ engineering design principles and practices, the NYC Building Codes, the NYC Energy Code in particular, as well as general building design, construction, project management, and project delivery methodologies. The candidate must have excellent management skills and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. The candidate must have prior experience in a managerial, administrative, or supervisory position. AutoCAD required, BIM preferred, LEED AP preferred. A valid motor vehicle driver’s license is required.
