Job summary

Space is looking for a Program Manager in Boulder, Colorado, who will oversee program management support and lead a team in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a background in project management within the defense sector and must be U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.

Compensation for this position is competitive, ranging from $120,000 to $170,000, complemented by substantial benefits including health insurance and paid leave.

• Contract Management including setup in financial management software, Mod reviews, Funding Runout tracking, EAC/VAC analysis

• Supporting Status and Customer Meetings
• ROM and Proposal Support
• Dependencies and Risk Support
• Monthly Status Reports

• Program Startup Support
• Support early phases of starting a program to establish appropriate infrastructure for the team and ensure contract compliance
• WBS Definition, Charge Number Setup
• Process Definition
• Business Rhythm definition
• Schedule & Milestones preparation and support
• CDRL planning
• Program Leadership
• Serve as primary POC to customer and SMX team for small projects, both internal and external.
• People Leadership
• Serve as primary people manager to SMX Space & Intelligence BU employees on the program(s) supported

Required Skills & Experience

• Clearance Required: Top Secret/ TS(SCI eligible) preferred. This position requires the ability to obtain a DOD TS/SCI eligible Clearance. Interim or Active DOD TS/SCI eligible clearance or higher is preferred. Due to the clearance requirement, U.S. Citizenship is required. Candidate also must agree to participate in a background screen.
• BS or advanced degree in Business Administration or another relevant field
• 3-5+ years of experience in a project engineering, program management, or finance role (an advanced degree (eg: Masters, PhD) provides two years of experience)
• Experience managing programs in the defense and aerospace fields, especially as a subcontractor
• Experience with general Program Management tools such as Excel, MS Project, and Powerpoint
• Excellent organization skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• PMI Certification
• Interim or Active TS/SCI eligible security clearance or higher
