Nordstrom, Inc. is seeking a Program Manager 2, Designer Operations in the Seattle area. This hybrid role requires onsite work at least 4 days per week in the Nordstrom Seattle office.

The role advances Nordstrom Made’s operational evolution, leading cross-functional teams to improve processes and execution in design. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in apparel design operations, strong collaboration skills, and a track record of delivering complex initiatives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in apparel product design.
• 3+ years of experience in project delivery.
• 3+ years of experience in project/program management and/or process evolution.
• 1+ year of experience with FlexPLM.

• Use design and development knowledge to drive decisions on foundational process improvements and help leadership understand calendar and process efficiencies by functional area.
• Identify opportunities across the Design functions for greater efficiency, documented processes, and better design execution.
• Find creative solutions to business problems while staying within the bounds of a well-managed project.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with Design leadership and team members at every level to optimize system and process utilization.
• Embrace a fast-paced environment and partner with key stakeholders to present complex problems clearly and effectively to leadership.

The Program Manager 2, Designer Operations supports the Nordstrom Made design organization through its operational evolution. This role sustains the foundational structure, leads cross-functional teams through operational transformation and execution excellence, and advocates for the team as the organization continues to evolve. The ideal partner is creative, collaborative, and a problem solver who is always working to improve the status quo so we can bring beautiful product to our customers.

A day in the life...

• Manage operational transformation and execution excellence as part of Nordstrom Made’s key strategic initiatives, working directly with the VP of Design.
• Use design and development knowledge to drive decisions on foundational process improvements and help leadership understand calendar and process efficiencies by functional area.
• Identify opportunities across the Design functions for greater efficiency, documented processes, and better design execution.
• Find creative solutions to business problems while staying within the bounds of a well-managed project.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with Design leadership and team members at every level to optimize system and process utilization.

• Manage ambiguity by creating structure, process, and prioritization across multiple projects.
• Facilitate team progress toward solutions and effective business decisions, and independently identify issues and changes, propose solutions to leadership, and know when more information is needed.

You own this if you have...

• 5+ years of experience in apparel product design
• 3+ years of experience in successful project delivery
• 3+ years of experience in project/program management and/or process evolution preferred
• 1+ year of experience with FlexPLM, preferred
• A Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
• A track record of driving results, even under tough circumstances, and of building trust through honesty, integrity, and authenticity
• A customer-focused mindset, the courage to address tough organizational issues and deliver difficult messages directly, and a commitment to ongoing self-development
• The ability to organize and communicate complex information clearly and simply to drive action, and to adapt proactively to changing demands

Pay Range Details

The pay range(s) below has been provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different for other locations.
Pay offers are dependent on the location, as well as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

$93,500.00 - $155,000.00 Annual
