Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a highly skilled program leader to direct all phases of complex defense programs within the Flight Systems Futures unit. The role emphasizes management of cost, schedule, and technical performance across cross-functional teams and customer interfaces.

The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in EVMS, risk management, and supplier oversight, with TS clearance and US citizenship as prerequisites for work on sensitive defense programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of related experience; master’s degree and 6 years’ experience or an additional 4 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
• Must be a U.S citizen and have an active U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope
• Experienced in Earned Value Management (EV) in an applicable system

Responsibilities

• Directing all phases of program from inception through completion
• Responsibility for the cost, schedule and technical performance of tooling programs
• Acting as customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance
• Establishing milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications
• Directing the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas
• Collaborating across program and functional teams and ensure on-time execution
• Identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks (e.g. technical, cost, schedule, legal, security) and maintaining risk register and ensuring corrective actions are tracked and closed
• Strategically managing NCTA budgets (B&P and M&S) with financial rigor and predictability

The Flight Systems Futures operating unit within Strategic Deterrent Systems is seeking highly motivated talent to join a team at the forefront of next-generation hypersonic capabilities. Our team focuses on the design, development, and demonstration of hypersonic re-entry vehicles and advanced payloads, with an emphasis on rapid development and prototyping aligned to specific customer missions. We operate in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment where innovative concepts are matured quickly into credible, testable solutions that address our nation's most demanding strategic deterrence needs.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

Primary Level Salary Range: $139,100.00 - $208,700.00
