Job summary

US staffing Inc. seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead complex initiatives across software and hardware systems. You will define deliverables, manage SDLC using waterfall and agile methodologies, and align objectives with stakeholders.

In this role you will mentor teams, drive schedules and budgets, develop communication plans, and provide executive-level status updates to ensure timely, top-performance delivery of programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
  • PMP or PMI Agile certification or similar Agile/Scrum certification required.
  • Experience managing concurrent initiatives and leading agile teams.

Responsibilities

  • Manage relationships with stakeholders, managers and vendors for project delivery.
  • Provide thought leadership for system implementations and IT processes.
  • Define deliverables, create and monitor sprints, schedules and backlogs.
  • Assist with internal communications and resource management as needed.
  • Align project objectives with stakeholder goals.
  • Lead teams through SDLC using waterfall and agile methodologies.
  • Create project plans, resource plans and program metrics.
  • Develop communication plans for status updates to stakeholders and executives.
  • Identify dependencies and ensure the project schedule is followed.
  • Communicate project status, risks and decisions to the customer portfolio.
  • Prepare executive steering committee communications as needed.
  • Direct and motivate team members to achieve top performance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job description

Duties and Responsibilities
  • a. Manage relationships with stakeholders, managers, and key software and services vendors for the delivery of projects and programs.
  • b. Provide thought leadership and expertise for Software and/or Hardware system implementations, IT applications, business, and systems processes.
  • c. Manage the implementation of projects daily — including defining deliverables as well as creating and monitoring sprints, project schedules, and backlogs.
  • d. Assist with internal communications and resource management as needed.
  • e. Align project objectives with stakeholders’ objectives.
  • f. Will lead teams through all phases of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) using appropriate waterfall and agile methodologies and processes.
  • g. Create project plans, resource plans, program metrics, communication plans and develop analytics supporting delivery of life cycle activities.
  • h. Develop communication plans to ensure business and executive stakeholders are well informed and are provided with accurate information for status of managed initiatives and to support decision making.
  • i. Identify project and resource dependencies and collaboratively work with team members to ensure the project schedule is followed.
  • j. Effectively communicate project status, actions, decisions, risks, issues and schedule for the customer’s project portfolio.
  • k. Prepare executive steering committee communications as needed.
  • l. Direct, motivate and collaborate with project team members to ensure the team is provided with clear and accurate information in a timely manner that will enable them to complete assigned tasks within set times, and to deliver to top performance.
  • m. other duties as assigned.
Education:
  • 1. Bachelor's degree in CompSci, Business, Finance or another related field
  • 2. PMP or PMI Agile Certification Practitioner (PMIACP) or other Agile/ScrumMaster certification is required
Qualifications:
  • 1. Project Manager shall have significant experience (12+ years) managing and implementing concurrent separate initiatives of varying size. This person shall also have a minimum of four individual multi-year project implementation experiences, as well as previous success leading initiatives within an agile methodology environment.
  • 2. Demonstrates extensive knowledge and success as a team leader: motivating teams to success by creating an atmosphere of trust while seeking diverse views to encourage improvement and innovation; providing information and direction to less-experienced staff; coaching staff including providing timely and meaningful written and verbal feedback.
  • 3. Proficiency in MS Office Suite, MS Project, MS Visio, Atlassian Jira/Confluence
