Job summary

Movement Search and Delivery is seeking a Program Manager to drive complex, multi-disciplinary manufacturing programs and serve as the main interface with customers and internal leadership.

The role requires 5–10 years of progressive program management experience in a manufacturing environment, with heavy plate fabrication, welding, defense, or shipbuilding experience highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 5–10 years of progressive program or project management experience.
• Strong manufacturing or production experience.
• Experience with heavy plate fabrication, welding, defense, shipbuilding, or related manufacturing is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of program planning, critical path management, resource allocation, risk mitigation, and financial tracking.
• Experience with ERP systems; IFS experience strongly preferred.
• Proficient with MS Project and Excel; Smartsheet and Power BI are a plus.
• Excellent communication with customers and leadership.
• PMP certification preferred.
• Knowledge of welding processes, NDT methods, and AWS codes is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple complex initiatives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and govern assigned programs from start to finish.
• Manage program performance, including schedule, budget, financials, risk, resources, and critical path execution.
• Build and communicate program plans, milestones, and status updates for leadership and customers.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, operations, supply chain, finance, and quality.
• Manage work orders, change requests, customer invoicing, and contract requirements.
• Identify and mitigate program risks while driving improvements in quality, throughput, and profitability.
• Partner closely with manufacturing and fabrication teams to resolve issues and support production.
• Maintain strong program documentation, configuration control, and technical data requirements.
• Support and guide project coordinators and other program team members.

About the Role:

This is a highly visible role responsible for executing complex, multi-disciplinary manufacturing programs. The Program Manager will drive program performance across engineering, operations, supply chain, finance, and quality while serving as a key interface with customers and internal leadership.
