Jobtailor is seeking a seasoned Program Manager to lead automotive initiatives with cross-functional teams spanning Product Engineering, Sales, Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, and suppliers.

You will drive program launches, manage risks, and coordinate with customers in the USA, Mexico, and Korea while aligning with Mobis best practices and guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or Business or equivalent experience.
  • +3 years project/program management preferred.
  • +7 years automotive project development experience highly preferred.
  • Global Automotive OEM experience preferred.
  • APQP experience; PMP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional teams across Product Engineering, Sales, Manufacturing, and Quality.
  • Develop and launch programs aligned with PM G/L and PMO practices.
  • Manage risks, track milestones, and report weekly PQMR.
  • Coordinate customer meetings in the USA, Mexico, and Korea.
  • Ensure deliverables meet Mobis requirements and guidelines.

Job description

  • Lead new programs with cross-functional teams including Product Engineering, Sales, Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, and suppliers
  • Communicate with local customers, local team members, Research Engineers, HQ Program Management, and Sales in Korea
  • Develop and launch programs while aligning with PM G/L and PMO best practices and systems
  • Attend on-site and online customer meetings and reviews at Mobis and customer locations throughout the USA, Mexico, and Korea
  • Support cross-functional teams through customer data and document reviews
  • Support program launch activities from award through 90 days post-SOP or longer as required
  • Track customer and Mobis deliverables and maintain project milestone status
  • Manage project scope, priorities, and resource planning
  • Keep stakeholders informed of project status, challenges, and achievements
  • Complete weekly PQMR report-outs and apply red, green, and yellow definitions consistently
  • Track and communicate technical and team-related risks and develop practical solutions
  • Oversee one-page plans for red program issues covering phenomenon, root cause, countermeasures, plans, and open discussion points
  • Ensure deliverables meet requirements and apply Mobis best practices and guidelines
  • Provide guidance to global cross-functional project teams and feed lessons learned and risks back to functions
  • Ensure standard procedures and methods are established and followed
  • Interface with functional disciplines and departments for program support
  • Identify and communicate customer requirements and procedures to project teams
  • Ensure completion of local deliverables across phase and gate objectives
  • Facilitate interaction between project teams and customers to align on deliverables and status
  • Analyze risks and initiate actions to prevent product, process, and system nonconformities
  • Lead and document program changes
  • Execute programs according to product development processes, PMS, and gate deliverable schedules
  • Organize and facilitate customer PDT, internal PDT, and supplier review meetings
  • Drive accountability and action through meetings and clear documentation
  • Escalate issues to management and secure support and resolution
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop a forward-thinking culture

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or Business, or equivalent industry-specific experience required
  • +3 years of project/program management is preferred
  • +7 years of automotive project development experience is highly preferred
  • Global Automotive OEM experience is preferred
  • Prior experience with automotive products that Mobis designs and manufactures
  • Experience with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)
  • PMP Certification is preferred
  • Korean language is a plus
  • Ability to work in a team and independently
  • Excellent client-facing, internal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and core teams at all levels
  • Proficiency in structured problem-solving tools and techniques, including 5 Phase, 8D, and Fishbone methods
  • i>Proficiency in MS Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • Knowledge of product and process design, specifications, applications, system integration, and manufacturing
  • Ability to overcome obstacles and achieve results
  • Relationship and team-building skills
  • Ability to work within a global, cross-functional project team
  • Ability to analyze critical issues and evaluate project risk in timing or cost
  • Advanced verbal communication, group presentation, negotiation, and influencing skills
  • Must not require Mobis immigration sponsorship now or in the future
