Job summary

FIVE ACRES in Pasadena, CA seeks a experienced supervisor with licensed clinical credentials to lead behavioral health operations. You will recruit, train, evaluate staff and enforce agency policies in a compliant, efficient manner.

You will manage budgets, coordinate cross-department services and ensure confidentiality and high-quality care. Strong communication, supervision training and bilingual abilities are valued for this role.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a behavioral health field.
• Licensed LMFT/LPCC/LCSW in California with at least 2 years post-licensure.
• Must maintain licensure as a condition of employment.
• Supervision training per Board requirements to supervise MA/MSW interns.
• Demonstrated managerial ability to supervise multiple departments.
• Strong oral and written communication; public speaking; bilingual Spanish/English preferred.

Job description

• Performs supervisory duties including recruitment, interviewing, hiring, training, development and evaluating department staff; manages performance, conducts performance appraisals and recommends salary increases; takes disciplinary measures as needed.
• Drafts and recommends new policies and procedures to improve agency outcomes or increase efficiency of administrative operations; ensures staff follow established practices, policies and procedures to achieve compliance with Agency expectations and standards.
• Participates in the development and management of the department budget; monitors expenses and ensures compliance with approved budgets; seeks and implements methods to maintain cost effectiveness.
• Develops and maintains effective working relationships with other agency department staff to coordinate services and functions as needed.
• Maintains working knowledge of department standards and policies developed by Five Acres, Community Care Licensing and other regulatory bodies; develops personal and professional knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, benchmarking state-of-the art practices and participating in in-service programs where required.
• Ensures all documentation and applicable systems are properly maintained in accordance with Agency, contract and policies and requirements; institutes audits of documentation as needed.
• Incorporates Agency philosophy and mission in all aspects of job description.
• Represents the department at community and professional meetings; leads and participates in department staff supervision and support meetings, and other meetings as appropriate.
• Receives feedback with commitment to on-going refinement and professional growth.
• Maintains confidentiality regarding employees and client operations of the agency.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree required
• LMFT, LPCC or LCSW license issued by the State of California, plus a minimum of two years post-licensure experience.
• Must maintain licensure as a condition of employment.
• Training in Supervision Practices as specified by the Board of Behavioral Sciences to supervise MA and MSW interns.
• Demonstrated managerial skills sufficient to manage one or more departments through working supervisors.
• Very effective communication skills both oral and written, including public speaking; bi-lingual skills in Spanish/English are preferred.
• Demonstration of good judgment in making decisions, utilizing strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing needs by acquiring new skills and knowledge.
• Computer skills sufficient to meet production demands of the job including Microsoft Office and other required software
• Sensitivity to the different cultures represented among the clients, families and staff
• A keen appreciation and understanding of the Agency's mission and strategic goals.
• Maintains confidentiality regarding children, families and operations of the Agency.

Compensation Range: $89,783/yr - $158,767/yr
