Job summary

The Daneshjou Lab in the Department of Biomedical Data Science at Stanford Medicine seeks a Program Manager to partner with Dr. Roxana Daneshjou, managing her programs and serving as lab manager.

You will oversee day-to-day operations and help ensure compliance with policies and procedures. Responsibilities include data collection and analysis, reporting trends, coordinating outreach, budgeting oversight, and supervising staff.

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage day-to-day activities of the unit, allocating resources to meet program goals.
• Collect and analyze data, produce reports, identify trends and recommendations.
• Analyze and interpret policies; revise procedures for the program.
• Represent the program as the department's subject-matter expert; provide information and training to stakeholders.
• Organize outreach activities, communications and events.
• Assist in budgeting, monitor expenditures and forecast as needed.
• Direct and supervise staff as required.

Job description

The Daneshjou Lab ( https://www.daneshjoulab.com/ ) in the Department of Biomedical Data Science within Stanford University's School of Medicine is seeking a Program Manager (PM) to serve as a primary partner to Dr. Roxana Daneshjou managing her programs and projects, as well as serving as her lab manager.

The PM will be responsible for facilitating the day-to-day operations of the lab and developing policies and procedures that ensure compliance with all internal and external regulations.

Duties include:

• Independently implement, administer and evaluate day-to-day activities of the unit, function or program by identifying and executing tasks and objectives, making recommendations that impact policies and programs, and assigning resources to achieve the goals of the program.
• Collect and analyze data, create reports, review and explain trends; formulate and evaluate alternative solutions and/or recommendations to achieve the goals of the program or function.
• Analyze and interpret policies; develop, revise and implement procedures for program or function
• Represent the program or function as the key contact and subject matter expert within the department, unit or school. Commit resources and provide information and/or training. May also represent the program or function to external/internal stakeholders and constituencies.
• Organize and/or participate in outreach activities that may include developing communications and training, planning/promoting events and/or conferences.
• May participate in development of budgets, monitor, and approve expenditures. May perform limited forecasting and provide recommendations that determine the budget.
• May direct staff to perform various tasks and assignments. May also supervise staff.
