Job summary

TYLin is seeking interest from experienced Program Managers for anticipated opportunities in the PMCM team over the next 3–6 months. The firm aims to build relationships for upcoming projects, with a focus on rail/transit initiatives and strong client engagement.

Ideal candidates will have 15+ years in project management within construction, PE or CCM licensure, and proven ability to lead scopes, schedules, and budgets while maintaining QA/QC standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field required.
  • PE license or CCM certification required.
  • 15+ years of project management in construction settings.
  • Experience with rail/transit clients such as MTA, NYC Transit, Metro North, NJ Transit or LIRR.
  • Familiarity with PMP/PMG practices is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue projects with the Construction Management Sector Leader and management.
  • Prepare project proposals for rail/transit clients.
  • Maintain client contact and communications; manage expectations.
  • Serve as PM/Program Manager on projects with company needs; manage scope, schedule and staffing.
  • Provide technical leadership in planning, design and construction of rail projects.
  • Direct preparation, tracking and submission of project deliverables.
  • Track schedules, tasks and on-time, within-budget delivery of projects.
  • Communicate with clients and negotiate fees for additional services.
  • Supervise and coach key team members; ensure QA/QC processes.

Job Summary

This posting is intended to gather expressions of interest from Program Managers for anticipated opportunities expected to arise over the next 3-6 months. While an immediate vacancy may not be available, we are building relationships with talented professionals who are interested in joining our PMCM team as new projects and hiring needs materialize.

Responsibilities & Qualifications
  • Work with Construction Management Sector Leader and key management personnel to identify and pursuit projects.
  • Prepare project proposals for rail/transit clients.
  • Client contact and communication.
  • Managing Client expectations and assuring client satisfaction related to project.
  • Serve as Project Manager/Program Manager on projects where beneficial to the Company and the project; and assume the financial, staffing, scope and schedule management responsibilities of that role.
  • Serve as key technical lead in planning/design/construction of significant rail-related projects.
  • Directs the preparation, tracking and submission of the project deliverables.
  • Preparation and tracking of project schedules, work tasks and delivery of projects on-time and within budget.
  • Tracking of additional services and out-of-scope work.
  • Communication with clients, negotiation of fees for additional services and delivery of contract modifications for such services.
  • Supervision and coaching of key team members.
  • Responsible for project quality.
  • Assures QA/QC processes are completed on each project.
  • Support in staff development, including Project Manager training.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or closely related field required.
  • State Professional Engineer (PE) license or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) required.
  • 15+ years of experience in Project Management activities and managing construction field teams.
  • Construction management experience with agency clients such as MTA, New York City Transit, Metro North Railroad, NJ Transit or Long Island Railroad.
  • Project Management Procedures (PMP's) and Project Management Guidelines (PMG's) familiarity a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written and presentation skills are required.
  • Client focused, always striving to give clients the best solutions.

Additional Information

TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $189,700 - $284,500 annually for this position and local market. We recognize that each candidate brings a unique set of skills, experience, education and competencies to the table that will be reflected in our offer.
