Job summary

Karman Space & Defense is seeking a Program Manager to lead programs delivering mechanical and pyrotechnic components and systems in Mukilteo, WA. You will coordinate planning, cost and schedule management, documentation, and customer communication to ensure objectives and expectations are met.

The role requires a BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, 3+ years in engineering (2+ in aerospace or systems engineering), and the ability to guide cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of engineering experience, including at least 2 years in aerospace engineering or systems engineering.
• Demonstrated ability to develop, plan, and execute projects.

Responsibilities

• Develops strong customer relationships through regular programmatic communication, including meetings, technical discussions, and written updates.
• Executes project planning by defining cost, schedule, and resource needs based on technical objectives.
• Tracks and manages program cost, schedule, and technical performance to ensure all contractual commitments are achieved.
• Ensures accurate documentation and delivery of system requirements and contract deliverables.

Karman Space & Defense is a leader in the rapid design, development, and production of critical, next-generation system solutions that align with the U.S. Department of War and its allies' core mission priorities, and meet the accelerating demand for access to space. Building on nearly 50 years of success, we deliver Payload & Protection Systems, Aero/Hydrodynamic Interstage Systems, and Propulsion & Launch Systems to more than 80 prime contractors supporting over 130 space and defense programs.

In this role, you will manage programs that support the development and delivery of mechanical and pyrotechnic components and systems. You will help guide program execution by coordinating planning, cost and schedule management, documentation, and customer communication to ensure program objectives are met and customer expectations are exceeded.
