Job description

Responsible for managing large-scale transformational projects with multiple workstreams. Strategize and implement various initiatives across multiple business areas. Ensure deadlines and deliverables are met through data analysis and performance management that align with governance structure and requirements.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work alongside business stakeholders and in collaboration with management, and other teams to delegate scope for demand collected from business units across the organization.
  • Manage and coordinate project teams to ensure success criteria is being met, risk mitigation is prioritized, communication plans are being executed on, deliverables are being met timely, and budget is maintained.
  • Coordinate and execute multiple projects and reconcile the interdependencies among them.
  • Guide a team to deliver a program of projects that meet organization standards and demands.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to define problem statements, success criteria and business requirements. Support all Demand planning/intake/evaluation meetings with business stakeholders.
  • Coordinate of design requirements, development inputs, testing and deployment tasks with database, network, infrastructure, cyber security and privacy teams as applicable. Accountable for confirmation that minimum standards as defined by these teams are met by the proposed solution.
  • Develop deployment strategy for all solution elements that accounts for deployment testing and training (through coordination and collaboration with business stakeholders). Coordinate handover of implementation playbook to deployment team; co-manage deployment of first release on ship #1 for shipboard initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with outside resources, including third-party vendors by keeping them engaged and accountable.
  • Analyze, evaluate, and overcome risks by supporting and being hands-on with projects within the program through problem-solving thinking and quick action.
  • Develop implementation playbook and testing strategy. Coordinate handover of implementation playbook to deployment team; co-manage deployment of first release on ship #1 for shipboard initiatives.
  • Assess solutions against program roadmaps and confirm roadmap objectives/company strategy are adhered to throughout solution lifecycle.
  • Develop and track budget for program/projects and be accountable for delivering against established business objectives.
  • Perform other job-related functions as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

DEGREE TYPE:

Bachelor's Degree

FIELD(S) OF STUDY:

Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Administration or related field.

EXPERIENCE

  • 5+ years of experience in an advanced project management or related role.
  • Experience coaching and educating project teams to strengthen team member’s capabilities and skills sets.
  • Experience working with executive level stakeholders.
  • Experience within the cruise line industry preferred.

COMPETENCIES/SKILLS

  • Track record of successfully managing the deployment of initiatives.
  • Ability to make strong, effective, sound, and independent decisions and logical judgment to assure timely completion of projects and resolutions.
  • Advanced understanding of applications such as Microsoft Suite, Clarity, Monday.com, LucidChart, JIRA, and project management tools).
  • Ability to deal effectively with multiple priorities under tight deadlines by setting the appropriate expectations.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Various travel commitment may be required based on current demand/project scope.
