Job summary

Guidehouse in the United States (McLean, VA) seeks a Program Manager to serve as the lead and single point of accountability for all contractor work on a multi-project contract. The role requires active Secret clearance, PMP and DAWIA PM Advanced certifications, and at least five years of contract management experience.

Responsibilities include strategic planning, budgeting, staffing, progress monitoring, and ensuring compliance with all administrative and contractual requirements.

What You Will Do:

• The Program Manager serves as the overall lead and single point of accountability for all contractor work under this contract.
• This role manages and conducts multi-project/multi-task technical and advisory & assistance services assignments, including planning, budgeting, staffing, quality control, and performance oversight.
• The Program Manager leads strategic planning, budgeting, and staffing efforts; monitors progress; resolves performance issues; and ensures compliance with all administrative and contractual requirements.
• The individual acts as the primary point of contact for Government stakeholders and is designated as Key Personnel.

What You Will Need:

• An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED "SECRET" Federal or DoD Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Minimum of FIVE (5) years of experience managing multi-project/multi-task technical or advisory & assistance services contracts.
• Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• DAWIA (or equivalent) Program Management Advanced–level certification.
• Demonstrated ability to lead strategic planning, budgeting, and staffing; establish and enforce quality work standards; monitor progress; and resolve issues impacting timely and successful delivery.

What Would Be Nice To Have:

• Experience supporting senior acquisition organizations (e.g., Service Acquisition Executive, Headquarters-level acquisition offices) and familiarity with defense acquisition processes and governance.
• Experience implementing and overseeing project management plans, quality control plans, and program management reviews on large federal contracts.
• Background managing efforts that include IT modernization, enterprise architecture, industrial base analytics, AI integration, and acquisition integration across multiple program offices and portfolios.
• Experience leading transition-in and transition-out activities, including knowledge transfer, continuity of operations planning, and coordination with incoming or outgoing contractors.
• Knowledge of organizational conflict of interest (OCI) risk, and experience developing or executing mitigation strategies in acquisition environments.
• Ability to function effectively in a high-pressure environment as part of a team responsible for critical mission execution, while maintaining professional demeanor and appearance.
• Demonstrated experience maintaining a stable workforce, managing vacancies within defined timelines, screening prospective employees for fit, and ensuring continuity of performance during transitions.
• Proven experience serving as the primary interface with Government CO/COR and senior stakeholders, including availability during normal duty hours and responsive communication.
