EDCare in Denver, CO is seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead Residential, Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) programs. You will help coordinate daily scheduling, staffing, and milieu leadership on site.

The role reports to the Program Director, collaborates with an interdisciplinary team, and requires strong clinical and administrative skills to ensure a safe, therapeutic environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in behavioral health field is required.
  • Actively pursuing Colorado licensure is required.
  • CPR certification within the first 90 days is required.
  • Ability to take initiative and problem solve clinical and operational issues is desired.
  • Minimum of six months experience in a therapeutic milieu environment is preferred.
  • Clinical understanding of eating disorders and dual diagnosis is preferred.
  • Treatment orientation aligned with EDCare is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written interpersonal communication skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Program Director in scheduling program tech/therapist coverage for groups and meals.
  • Provide individual therapy and POD groups when backup coverage is needed for Primary Clinicians.
  • Create effective relationships and liaise with other departments to improve work processes.
  • Model compliance to all program tasks and adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Establish and maintain a collaborative presence with program staff and therapists.
  • Support leadership in adherence to rules, policies, and procedures.
  • Lead training of new program staff and students with the program director.
  • Serve as onsite weekend leadership and point person for facility, patient, and staff issues.
  • Navigate call outs and manage staffing concerns.
  • Demonstrate effective counseling skills and facilitate groups with engagement and boundaries.
  • Maintain daily program structure and attendance for billing purposes.
  • Open/close the facility and maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Our Denver treatment programs provide multiple levels of care, including Residential, Partial Hospitalization (PHP), and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) services, within a supportive and highly specialized clinical environment.

EDCare is seeking an experienced and compassionate Program Manager to join our Denver clinical leadership team. This position plays an important role in maintaining the structure, consistency, and therapeutic environment of our programs while providing leadership and support to both patients and clinical staff. Working closely with the Program Director and interdisciplinary treatment team, the Program Manager helps coordinate daily programming and staffing, supports the training and development of milieu staff, provides clinical coverage as needed, and serves as a key onsite leadership resource.

Summary of Major Functions

Provide and maintain structure for Residential, Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Programs. Services include conducting groups, facilitating meals and meal processing documentation, and encouraging a therapeutic milieu.

Knowledge

Must have a basic understanding of the therapeutic process that patients experience during program hours, understand confidentiality laws, and have a strong knowledge of professional ethics. Must be able to demonstrate leadership abilities and be able to work with persons from all educational and cultural backgrounds. Must demonstrate tact, resourcefulness, independent thinking, enthusiasm, and non-judgmental attitude.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assisting Program Director in finding program tech/therapist coverage for groups and meals.
  • Provide individual therapy and POD groups when backup coverage is needed for Primary Clinicians.
  • Create effective relationships and be the liaison with other departments in creating and improving work processes.
  • Role models appropriate compliance to all program tech/therapist tasks and adherence to policy and procedures.
  • Establishes and maintains presence and a collaborative relationship with all program tech/therapists.
  • Supports clinical leadership in the implementation of and adherence to rules, policies, and procedures.
  • Takes ownership, in collaboration with program director, for training of new program tech/therapist staff and students.
  • Serve as onsite leadership on the weekends and act as point person for all facility issues/concerns, patient issues/concerns, and staff issues/concerns.
  • Navigate any call outs that occur and help to manage staffing issues/concerns.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of and practice of effective counseling skills.
  • Facilitates meals with patients in a fashion consistent with the treatment philosophy of EDCare; models appropriate eating behaviors during assigned mealtimes with patients.
  • Contributes clinical information and observations about patients in weekly staffing.
  • Demonstrates ability to build therapeutic rapport while maintain professional boundaries.
  • Facilitates groups with expertise, demonstrating ability to engage, set limits and monitor the group process.
  • Maintains and develops group curriculum for psychoeducational groups according to EDCare clinical standards.
  • Is creative in therapeutic interventions to maintain a safe, supportive, clinically sound programming.
  • Is present and available for patient requests and needs; provides outreach to patients when necessary.
  • Maintain daily program structure.
  • Conduct check-ins and check-outs with patients.
  • Facilitate therapeutic outings.
  • Timely completion and accuracy of clinical paperwork: progress notes, group notes, etc.
  • Ensure completion of daily attendance sheet for billing purposes.
  • Take responsibility for opening and/or closing the facility.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all patients.
  • Other job duties as assigned.
Computer Skills
  • Must be able to effectively maneuver within an office scheduling system.
  • Minimum of intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Must be able to learn efficiently and effectively work within an electronic medical records system.
Physical Demands and Environment

Physical demands of this job include but are NOT limited to:

Sitting frequently, standing occasionally, walking occasionally, talking occasionally, hearing constantly, seeing constantly, reaching with arms and hands occasionally, crouching occasionally and using fingers intricately. This position requires lifting/carrying up to 10 pounds occasionally.

Environmental conditions of this job include but are NOT limited to

95% inside, 99% normal temperature and 99% normal noise as expected in a medical office environment.

Qualifications
