Job description

For our client, we are seeking a Program Management Senior Director to join the team of a leader in the Aerospace & Defense space. This leader will drive complex international programs that connect customer needs, contract execution, and cross-functional delivery in a highly matrixed environment. The role will focus on managing capture-to-execution activities for international defense work while balancing milestones, resources, and stakeholder expectations. Success in this position will depend on building trusted customer relationships, coordinating across functions, and delivering clear executive-level communication that supports growth and operational performance.

Location: Elkridge, MD - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $254,200 - $381,200 annually

Responsibilities

• Capture and execute international contracts through direct commercial sales and foreign military sales channels
• Lead cross-functional teams to meet program objectives in a matrix environment
• Establish milestones and monitor adherence to plans and schedules
• Identify and manage program resources, including workforce planning
• Create a positive employee experience focused on retention and professional development
• Deliver presentations to customers and executive management
• Cultivate customer relationships to develop new opportunities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 15+ years of program management experience, or Master's degree with 12+ years of experience
• 7+ years of international program management experience with direct commercial sales contracts
• Expertise in negotiating contracts with international customers, particularly in MENA
• Experience with U.S. Government foreign military sales contracts and export regulations
• Proven success leading teams in a matrix environment and fostering customer relationships
• Strong communication and executive presence
• Must be a U.S. citizen with an active Secret Clearance
