Job summary

Torch Technologies in Huntsville, AL seeks a Program Management Senior to support the AF program within BESPIN. Responsibilities include managing qualitative and quantitative program metrics, producing acquisition documentation, and leading program reviews and briefings for senior management.

Qualified candidates are U.S. citizens with advanced degrees and extensive DoD experience, current Secret clearance, and the ability to work onsite with travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen required with current Secret clearance.
• Advanced degree in a related field and 10+ years of experience; or Bachelor’s with 12+ years; or 15 years with certifications.
• Experience in DoD programs and acquisition management preferred.

Responsibilities

Torch Technologies is seeking a Program ManagementSenior within the Business Enterprise Systems Programming Innovation (BESPIN). The mission of BESPIN is to use research, design, and technology to help organizations create exceptional experiences and enduring solutions for airmen. We envision BESPIN as an organization that delivers delightful and secure services to all airmen in today’s digital age. BESPIN will drive the digital transformation of the Business Enterprise Systems (BES) Directorate in Montgomery, Alabama. BES is responsible for providing comprehensive IT solutions to the over 750,000 military, civilian, and contractor personnel working in the USAF and managing a portfolio consisting of over 140 applications that must be actively maintained and modernized. As well as developing the AF automated mobile pipeline and Kubernetes platform to enable scalable production environments under a Continuous Authority to Operate supporting continuous integration and continuous deployment for customers DoW wide. This position supports AFLCMC/GBO.

As a Program Management Senior, your duties will include the following, but are not limited to:

• Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative techniques for gathering, analyzing, and measuring the effectiveness, efficiency and productivity of acquisition programs.

• Knowledge of support activities that assist the program manager in assessing what programs are within schedule and cost baselines and be able to recommend viable solutions to problems as well as the pursuit of alternative courses of action.

• Abilities to effectively communicate orally and in writing, providing quality acquisition and program documentation, e.g., briefings, documents, and plans.

• Abilities to plan, research, analyze and assess system acquisition in terms of development, production and deployment of weapons systems and associated equipment.

• Abilities to formulate plans and recommend effective strategies in meeting cost, schedule and performance objectives.

• Abilities to support and develop acquisition reports, including statutory and regulatory reports, e.g., Defense Acquisition Executive Summary (DAES) or Monthly Activity Report (MAR).

• Abilities to support program management reviews, senior level meeting/reviews and Integrated Master Plan (IMP)/Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) reviews; and Abilities to support and develop various briefings/schedules of program status and acquisition tasks to senior management.

Required Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen

• Master’s or Doctorate Degree in a related field and 10 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 5 years of which must be in the DoW.

• OR Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 12 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, of which must be in the DoW.

• OR 15 years of directly related experience with proper certifications, eight of which must be in the DoW.

• Current Secret clearance (required to start)
