Qualifications

• Education: Actively enrolled in a Business, Project Management, or Engineering Program from a 4-year accredited college/university.
• Interest in project management, engineering, or manufacturing operations.
• Familiarity with project management and product development lifecycles is a plus.
• Must be able to apply their academic background to real business world experiences.
• Experience: Prior experience with work study programs, school or volunteer leadership roles, participated on teams or in clubs, professional organizations, etc. preferred.
• Soft Skills: Excellent written and verbal communications. Ability to multi-task, manage deadlines and easily adapt to new challenges and business working environment. Strong motivation to make contributions to Komatsu and drive results.
• PC Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office specifically with Excel (Pivot Tables), Power Point (slide presentations) and other summary and analysis tools. Must demonstrate good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Project Planning & Tracking- Learn how to develop and maintain project work plans, schedules, and reports.
• Collaboration & Communication- Participate in cross-functional team meetings, capturing key updates, risks, and decisions.
• Risk & Issue Management- Observe how project managers identify, track, and elevate project risks and resource challenges.
• Tools & Processes- Gain hands-on exposure to Komatsu's project management methodologies, templates, and tracking systems.
• Continuous Improvement- Support initiatives that improve program management tools, reporting, and knowledge sharing across the team.
• Professional Development- Build skills in communication, teamwork, time management, and business process awareness.
