Job summary

Komatsu's Manufacturing Engineering Internship Program offers a 12‑week learning experience for engineering students in Peoria, IL. Interns gain hands‑on exposure, mentorship, and cross‑functional project involvement within manufacturing and engineering teams.

The role involves shadowing engineers on real projects, supporting facility layout, renovations, and collaboration with Manufacturing Operations, Materials, Quality, and other groups.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in an Engineering program (preferably Manufacturing or Mechanical).
• Apply academic background to real business world experiences.
• Strong mechanical reasoning skills and valid communication ability.
• Some welding experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Shadow and work with experienced engineers on real projects.
• Support facility layout, renovations, and cross‑functional manufacturing initiatives.
