Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking an experienced Product Owner for the Business Architecture team.

You will work with line of business stakeholders, data SMEs, and tech teams across Finance, Credit Risk and Treasury to manage the traditional credit product book, develop roadmaps, and deliver on monthly releases. You will lead a team of product owners, groom JIRA backlogs, resolve issues, and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders while ensuring compliance with Release Management

Job description

The Business Architecture team within Firmwide Financial Control (FFC) is accountable for leading large-scale data, infrastructure, accounting standard and business process change management events in coordination with our larger organization who maintain the books and records for the firm. The team also provides a centralized program management and business analysis capability, targeted program governance, and consistent application of program management standards including system testing and change management practices, with a current focus on overseeing the Data Acquisition framework for strategic and legacy Finance, TCIO, and Wholesale Credit Risk platforms.

As a Product Owner on the Business Architecture team, you will work closely with Line of Business stakeholders, data Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Consumers and technology teams across Finance, Credit Risk & Treasury and the various Program Management teams. The key priorities for this role will be to manage the traditional credit product book of work, develop roadmap and deliver on multiple projects /programs on all monthly Releases.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team of product owners responsible for platform modernization and expansion of data products
  • JIRA grooming and test execution
  • Issues resolution and escalation of critical risks
  • Influence and communicate with senior stakeholder (business, operations, technology) relationships
  • Drive compliance of product and Release Management standards and operating model
  • Drive end-to-end project strategy discussions and develop and deliver plans for successful project delivery of firmwide and LOB change events impacting Finance, Credit and Treasury reporting
  • Identify and drive solutions for business process re-engineering activities, along with creating supporting documentation and end user operational experience and usage of Finance and Risk platforms
  • Provide oversight of the release plan inclusive of project or release scope, critical milestones, sourcing requirements, test strategy and execution and implementation checklists and stakeholder / technology activities
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 6+ years of project management and business analysis experience and process re-engineering
  • Previous team leadership experience
  • Proven experience in delivering large complex programs and managing senior stakeholder relationships
  • Ability to quickly learn and assimilate business and technical knowledge
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple streams of work concurrently
  • Must be detail oriented, highly responsible and able to work with tight deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to tailor messaging to various audiences
  • Ability to lead, influence, and build strong relations with partner teams
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
  • Knowledge and experience of traditional credit (Loans, Deposits, Cash) and trading products (Derivatives and Securities) is a plus
  • Previous experience in Finance, Risk or Operations functions is a plus
  • Experience with Agile delivery and the JIRA tool is a plus
  • Solid understanding of Financial and/or Regulatory reporting processes; understanding of Liquidity, Credit Reporting related data is a plus
  • Knowledge of cloud strategy/Databricks is an advantage
  • Knowledge of Tableau or other business intelligence tools preferred
