Think Together is seeking a Part-Time Program Leader in California to mentor and coach students in an in-person setting. You will work with a group of 20-25 students, upholding safety and core program standards while helping with academic enrichment and activity facilitation.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, district unit requirements, and fluency in Standard English; Spanish bilingual ability is a plus. Excellent communication and reliability are essential.

Qualificações

• District-specific 48 sem/60 quarter units and/or pass pre-employment test.
• Ability to speak and write Standard English for a public-school setting.
• Bi-literacy in Spanish preferred; strong English communication.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Create an engaging environment fostering belonging for students.
• Support positive behavior choices and discipline when needed.
• Identify student needs and communicate with Site Program Manager, teachers, and parents.
• Participate in staff development and ongoing training.
• Provide homework help, enrichment, and physical activity using program materials.
• Assist with snack prep, serving, and cleanup; maintain site cleanliness.
• Maintain sign-in/sign-out to ensure student safety.
• Arrive punctually and communicate absences with Site Program Manager.

Overview

Program LeaderPart-Time $ 19.50/hr Program Leaders work with an assigned group of students, student to staff ratio is contingent upon CDC guidelines. This is a part time, in-person position in districts and school site locations throughout California. Program Leaders act as a positive adult role model, coach, and mentor. Program Leaders must have a genuine interest in the growth, development, and provision of a safe and nurturing environment for the students they teach. A Program Leader’s ability to establish authority and connections through leadership, communication, and most importantly patience, will be required in giving our students the stability and nurturing atmosphere they need to succeed. Ensuring that Think Together students reach their potential takes a tremendous amount of hard work, flexibility, and commitment.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a group of students in an in-person setting, maintaining high standards for behavior and safety by implementing the Think Together four core agreements:

• Be safe
• Be respectful
• Be responsible
• Have fun

• Create an engaging environment that fosters a sense of belonging that kids want to be in.
• Support students in making positive behavior choices and take disciplinary measures when appropriate.
• Identify student needs and communicate to Site Program Manager, teachers, school administration and parents, as appropriate.
• Participate in staff development.

In Person Learning:

• Provide homework assistance, academic enrichment and physical activity using curriculum and materials provided by the program.
• Work directly with a group of 20-25 students in a classroom setting, implementing classroom and behavior management strategies.
• Assist daily with snack preparation, serving and clean up.
• Assist in set up, break down, and ongoing maintenance to keep the school or community site clean and orderly.
• Maintain student safety by taking roll and reviewing sign-in/sign-outs for students activities.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. Required.
• District-specific - 48 semester/60 quarter units and/or pass a pre-employment test.
• Ability to speak and write Standard English appropriate in a public-school setting.
• Must pass Live Scan (criminal background check via fingerprinting)
• Provide negative TB Test dated within the last 3 years.
• At least six months experience working with a group of 10 or more students in a classroom, afterschool, or recreation environment.
• Advanced Math and English skills (K–8)
• Excellent communication skills (Written and Verbal)
• Support our English-learner population by being bi-literate (Spanish preferred)

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Arrives punctually in order to meet responsibilities for site start up and assignments.
• Must have the ability to utilize various digital learning platforms.
• Maintains close communication with Site Program Manager regarding planned or emergency absences.
• Maintains highest degree of confidentiality in staff, student, and volunteer matters.
• Complies with organization and site policies and follows procedures.
