Job summary

The State of Kansas is hiring a Program Consultant - Lead Mental Health Technician at Osawatomie State Hospital. This full-time role provides leadership for a treatment program for adults with psychiatric disorders and oversees MHDDTs on patient units.

The incumbent ensures adherence to hospital policies, coordinates care, and supports crisis management while maintaining accurate patient records in the care system.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in planning, implementing, and monitoring activities relevant to the agency's programs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain galley, snack ordering, and patient kitchen
• Assists with covering the floor when needed
• Completes staff training for new hires and provides feedback
• Oversees the work of MHDDTs
• Perform basic tasks to enable assessment of patient's condition
• Participate in patient activities
• Responsible for implementing the admission process
• Demonstrate knowledge of handling crisis/emergency situations
• Document information in the Medical Record (Patient Care System)
