Job Summary
Uni-Systems Engineering is seeking an experienced and collaborative Program Lead to design, build, and improve company-wide programs that support our strategic direction and operational needs.
This position works across departments and disciplines to turn business objectives into sustainable programs, processes, training, documentation, and tools. The Program Lead also supports project teams and specialized functions such as safety, education, maintenance, quality, procedure standardization, and shop and field operations.
From the start, the Program Lead works to understand how Uni operates and, within that context, identifies, proposes, and implements new solutions. The current Program Lead is available during the first year to provide company context, support, and guidance as needed.
Job Responsibilities
- Partner with company leadership to develop, implement, and maintain sustainable programs that support strategic and operational objectives across multiple departments and disciplines.
- Identify, propose, and implement new solutions to challenges that have no established answer, including researching how other organizations have addressed similar needs and designing programs that others can sustain.
- Evaluate and improve established programs to ensure they remain effective, relevant, and aligned with company needs.
- Develop key performance indicators and other measures to assess program effectiveness, and communicate results, recommendations, priorities, and updates to leadership and other stakeholders.
- Promote the purpose and value of company programs and support their consistent adoption throughout the organization.
- Provide subject-matter guidance and consultation to leadership, project teams, committees, and employees regarding Operations and Maintenance (O&M), safety practices, ISO-related processes, program standards, and procedure standardization.
- Support specialized committees and functional areas, including Safety, Education, Maintenance, Quality, and Procedure Standardization.
- Collaborate with project leads, managers, technical staff, and other employees to support project assignments and successful project deliverables.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, procedures, training materials, presentations, graphics, and other communication resources by translating complex technical information into clear, practical content for a variety of audiences.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, documentation, communication, consistency, efficiency, and overall program effectiveness.
- Manage and maintain the company website, including coordinating content updates, ensuring information remains accurate and current, and working with internal stakeholders or external providers on website improvements and technical needs.
- Support maintenance activities, program development, training, and ongoing project deliverables as business needs require.
- Travel to job sites, company facilities, and other work locations as needed to support program development, maintenance, training, or project activities.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Minimum of five years of experience developing programs, systems, or processes that others depend on, in a technical, engineering, or operations environment.
- Demonstrated record of developing a new solution to an organizational challenge with no established answer and implementing it successfully.
- Ability to work extensively with complex technical documentation and technology tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with leadership, employees, vendors, customers, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to create clear and professional procedures, training materials, presentations, reports, graphics, and other technical or business communications.
- Proven ability to organize, plan, prioritize, and manage multiple assignments while meeting deadlines.
- Strong judgment, initiative, and creative problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively across departments and disciplines.
- Demonstrated accuracy, professionalism, and attention to detail.
- Ability to travel to job sites and other company locations as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in an engineering, construction, manufacturing, maintenance, or technical project environment.
- Experience supporting multiple functional areas such as safety, quality, training, maintenance, operations, or process improvement.
- Experience developing performance measures, dashboards, or key performance indicators.
- Experience with procedure development, process standardization, knowledge management, or succession planning.
- Proficiency with graphics, presentation, document-management, and technical communication software.
- Ability to learn complex technical systems, processes, and organizational practices and transfer that knowledge into sustainable programs and documentation.
