Job summary

Pilot Company is seeking a Salesforce Intern to join the SC Fuels team in Orange, CA, for the summer of 2027. This internship offers hands-on experience administering and developing on the Salesforce platform within a corporate environment.

You will work with Salesforce professionals to support business-critical applications, improve system processes, and contribute to Salesforce enhancement initiatives, including AI-enabled features and platform best practices.

Qualifications

• Education: student pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related technical field.
• Salesforce Associate or Salesforce Administrator certification is a plus but not required.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a remote/hybrid setting.

Responsibilities

• Administer and Develop: learn to administer and develop the Salesforce platform in a corporate setting.
• Support Platform Enhancements: contribute to Salesforce improvements through configuration, automation, reporting, and development.
• Research Emerging Technologies: explore new Salesforce capabilities and identify business applications.
• Salesforce Development: support development using Apex, SOQL, LWC, and declarative tools.
• Testing and Quality Assurance: assist with testing, debugging, issue resolution, and validation.
• Documentation: create and maintain technical and user documentation.
• Contribute to Best Practices: learn and contribute to testing, automation, and deployment.

Are you a proactive and resourceful student with a passion for technology and a desire to learn? Pilot Company is seeking a Salesforce Intern to join our SC Fuels team in Orange, CA, for the summer of 2027.

This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience administering and developing on the Salesforce platform within a corporate environment. The intern will work closely with Salesforce professionals to support business-critical applications, improve system processes, and contribute to Salesforce enhancement initiatives.

This role is ideal for someone with strong technical aptitude, a willingness to learn, and a desire to gain real-world experience with Salesforce administration, development, automation, testing, and platform best practices.

As Salesforce continues to introduce new AI capabilities, the intern may have an opportunity to research emerging features, evaluate potential business use cases, and provide recommendations to the team.

What You’ll Do

Your responsibilities may include:

• Administer and Develop: Learn how to administer and develop the Salesforce platform in a corporate setting.
• Support Platform Enhancements: Contribute to Salesforce platform improvements through configuration, automation, reporting, and development initiatives.
• Research Emerging Technologies: Explore new Salesforce platform capabilities, including AI-related features, and help identify potential business applications.
• Salesforce Development: Depending on your focus, you may support the development and enhancement of Salesforce solutions using Apex, SOQL, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and declarative tools.
• Testing and Quality Assurance: Assist with testing, debugging, issue resolution, and validation of Salesforce enhancements.
• Documentation: Create and maintain technical and user documentation for implemented solutions.
• Contribute to Best Practices: Learn and contribute to best practices around testing, automation, and deployment.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For

• Education: A student pursuing a degree in Computer Science or Data Science or Related Technical field.
• Technical Skills: We are seeking candidates with proficiency in one of the following areas:
• Salesforce Administration: Configuring the platform, automation, gathering requirements, and forming stories.
• Salesforce Development: Experience with SOQL, Apex, LWC, REST APIs and integration.
• Testing: Best practices around testing, automation and deployment.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote/hybrid setting. We're looking for someone who is resourceful and driven to find answers.
• Experience: Any prior work experience or extracurricular work is a plus. We are looking for someone who is open to learning new things. Preferred candidates will have Salesforce experience through coursework, Trailhead, certifications, personal projects, prior internships, or student organizations. Salesforce Associate or Salesforce Administrator certification is a plus but not required.

Pay Rates Starting between: $18.50 - $29.50 / hour
