The Thompson Rivers Parks and Recreation District is seeking a fun and energetic Program Instructor-Pickleball to provide engaging instruction for youth and adults. You will plan, schedule, and lead pickleball activities in a safe, supportive setting that encourages self-confidence and healthy living.
This part-time role requires court setup and teardown, plus strong communication skills. CPR/First Aid certification is preferred or obtainable within 60 days.

Employees at this level are responsible for planning and scheduling classes, providing practical instruction, and ensuring that participants learn and operate within a safe, supportive environment through lessons that remain fun and engaging while encouraging respect for oneself and others.

Must be able to frequently stand, walk, sit, talk or hear, use hands to hold, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and reach with hands and arms in performance of duties. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. This position requires a high level of physical ability including standing for long periods, bending, reaching, lifting, jumping, walking, stretching etc.
May require indoor and outdoor activities and exposure to the elements. The noise level in the environment is moderate to loud. May be required to utilize cleaning materials and have contact with various chemicals for duties such as mopping and/or sanitizing high contact areas including doors, equipment, and workstation.
