Job summary

The Child and Family Services Agency (CFSA) within the District of Columbia government is hiring to provide full administrative and technical support to the Office of Thriving Families and CPA. This role focuses on improving policies and procedures, evaluating program efficiency, and supporting grant and contract management across prevention portfolios.

Candidates bring strong data analysis, ability to work with multiple stakeholders, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

  • Ability to evaluate the impact of data on program operations and management including systems specification, data gathering and analytical techniques, and system evaluation.
  • Skills in analysis of quantitative and qualitative data to identify trends, systematic issues, and capacity strengths.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of information systems utilized for data collection and analysis.
  • Sound oral and writing communication skills to communicate information to management for effective assessment of program operations, draft clear and concise reports and recommendations.
  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders, internal and external to CFSA, and develop professional relationships.
  • Knowledge of agency resources, public and private agencies, and policies affecting children and families.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Provides Gold Standard Customer Service to grantee/contractor and/or provider.
  • Plans, develops and conducts program analyses of substantial scale and impact concerning all aspects of current or projected operating programs for actual or potential effectiveness and quality in achieving planned goals and objectives.
  • Analyzes extracts, summarizes, and identifies significant trends and issues related to the programs; provides recommendations and tracks issues through to resolution.
  • Evaluates the impact of data on program operations and management, including systems specifications, data gathering and analytical techniques, and systems evaluation methodology.
  • Maintains and/or monitors grantee performance; reports findings to the supervisor and/or designee to develop action plans and supports CQI.
  • Provides critical and timely information to management on various functions of the prescribed prevention portfolio and/or program.
  • Coordinates and supports community and outreach activities (logistics, venues, agendas, materials).
  • Conducts and schedules site visits with grantees on a recurring basis.
  • Forecasts and estimates program requirements and prepares programmatic reports for top level presentations and briefings.
  • Establishes relationships with other government agencies as appropriate.
  • Analyzes current grant expenditures and evaluates each grant for efficiency and compliance.
  • Assists in the development of grants and sub-grant contracts and develops evaluation plans, processes and methodologies.
  • Maintains records of current grants and ensures reporting requirements are met.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
