Job description

Program Finance Manager, Advanced Effects

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century’s most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.

ABOUT THE TEAM

Anduril's Air Dominance & Strike (AD&S) division delivers platforms, systems, and integrated effects across autonomous air vehicles and advanced munitions. Our portfolio — including platforms like Barracuda and Fury — spans high-performance multi-mission air vehicles purpose-built for contested environments and hyper-scale production.

ABOUT THE JOB

As a Program Finance Manager, you will own end-to-end financial leadership for a portfolio of programs across multiple contract types for the high-growth Advanced Effects business line. This portfolio spans cutting-edge missile programs that are rapidly scaling from development into production. You will set the operating cadence for program financial management and scale the processes, tooling, and talent needed to support rapid growth.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Own program financial performance for a portfolio of government contracts; drive predictable outcomes from award through execution and closeout.
  • Lead EAC and forecast governance: set standards, build/maintain EACs, drive variance/root-cause analysis, and manage risk/opportunity tracking with mitigation actions.
  • Partner deeply with Program Management and Contracts on CLIN structure, funding, burn, billing/invoicing, contract modifications, and required program financial reporting.
  • Lead monthly FP&A forecasting process with a focus on understanding program changes that drive financial changes.
  • Drive production and unit-economics insights: margin and COGS analysis, inventory and working-capital impacts, production variances, and cost-reduction opportunities with Ops/Supply Chain.
  • Own planning deliverables (AOP/LRP) for your portfolio: consolidate bottoms-up program outlooks (revenue, cost, margin, working capital) and align to leadership commitments.
  • Operate performance management (EVM where applicable): support baseline management and interpret key variances (CV/SV/CPI/SPI); prepare content for internal/external reviews and audits.
  • Build scalable processes, models and tooling that improve speed, accuracy, and governance as program volume increases.
  • Deliver crisp narratives and decision memos for AD&S leadership and Corporate Finance.
  • Hire and develop talent, manage and mentor analysts; set standards for analytical quality, documentation, controls, and stakeholder management.
  • Ad-hoc analysis for Business Cases and other studies, with understanding of broader impacts to financial results.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • 6-10+ years of progressive experience in DoD/government contract finance or program finance, including ownership of large/complex programs.
  • Demonstrated ownership of EAC development and forecasting discipline, including proactive risk identification and corrective action follow-through.
  • Working knowledge of government contracting fundamentals (e.g., FAR/DFARS concepts) and strong partnership instincts with Contracts and Program Management.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing/production finance (COGS, inventory, variances, unit economics) in a hardware or production environment.
  • Advanced Excel/modeling skills; strong systems orientation (ERP + reporting/tooling).
  • Track record of leading cross-functional workstreams with Program, Engineering, Ops, and Contracts stakeholders.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Advanced degree MBA, CFA and/or CPA.
  • Security clearance.
  • DAU Financial Management certification and/or PMP.
  • Experience with EVM tools (e.g., Deltek Cobra) and program scheduling tools (e.g., Microsoft Project).
  • Experience scaling finance processes in a high-growth environment (templates, workflows, controls, and training).
