Job summary

ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company, seeks a Finance Analyst to analyze complex financial data, forecast revenues and expenditures, and advise on strategic actions across programs.

You will prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts, maintain rolling outlooks for large programs, and partner with project managers to resolve finance issues while delivering clear reporting to leadership.

Qualifications

• Analytical mindset and strong numerical abilities.
• Fluent in financial concepts and GAAP.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint required.
• Understanding accrual accounting and US GAAP.
• Experience with Costpoint and Cognos preferred.
• 2+ years in government contracting/finance helpful.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual cost and revenue forecasts for projects and organization.
• Maintain rolling forecasts and quarterly outlook for large programs (> $3M revenue).
• Determine costs by standard costing and analyzing operational data.
• Compare actual results with plans and forecasts and explain variances.
• Prepare reports for monthly and quarterly reviews and leadership presentation decks.
• Review AP/AR invoices for accuracy and completeness.
• Collaborate with project managers and finance to resolve issues.
