Job summary

TransitCenter, a national foundation improving transit in the U.S., seeks a part-time Program Fellow for a one-year, temporary assignment to assist the Improving Agency Practice team in engaging practitioners across sectors and advancing theWomen Changing Transportation program.

The Fellow will help plan workshops, develop resources, and amplify the program through communications materials, newsletters, and partner outreach, with a 15–25 hour weekly commitment and on-site work in lower Manhattan.

Qualifications

• Strong writing and communications skills.
• Experience producing external communications materials.
• Excellent critical thinking, problem solving and analytical skills.
• Social media savvy.
• Desirable: InDesign and video editing experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage in-person workshops and events, including logistics and materials.
• Develop program resources and manage a salary database and related writings.
• Amplify the program through communications materials, videos and social posts; prepare quarterly newsletters.
• Engage new partners and expand the Women Changing Transportation network.
