Qualifications

  • At least 5+ years of experience facilitating, teaching, and coaching Opportunity Youth.
  • Experience with case-management documentation and support-plan execution (MSW a plus).
  • Experience creating virtual learning communities and coaching via technology.
  • Experience designing workforce-readiness curriculum with asset-based adult-learning principles.
  • Knowledge of job coaching, career counseling, job training, and enterprise staffing needs.
  • Advocacy or case management experience for underserved individuals.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and collaboration across diverse teams.

Job description

OVERVIEW

Reporting directly to the Director of Central Program Delivery on the Central Program Team, the Program Facilitator is responsible for leading the design and delivery of program solutions that are at the vanguard of YearUpUnited’s evolving program models utilizing centralized instruction and support. The Program Facilitator will design, oversee, and deliver pilots that connect Opportunity Youth to career‑track jobs in scalable ways, and will lead site‑based projects that provide operational leverage and flexibility. The role requires strong communication, facilitation, coaching, and adult learning skills, the ability to navigate rapid change, and the capacity to manage multiple projects and stakeholders independently while ensuring student success.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Delivery Lead
    • Work collaboratively with partners to ensure alignment across teams and coordinate support for students.
    • Build and manage relationships with critical project stakeholders and share information on an ongoing basis.
    • Develop programmatic materials and processes for replication and scale.
    • Make programmatic decisions that meet the needs of students and employer partners.
    • Document program and participant data; synthesize and report trends and learnings.
    • Oversee additional program facilitators assigned to specific pilots and projects.
    • Represent the learning‑coach perspective when working with functional teams.
    • Contribute insights, learnings, and improvements to program debriefs and support system development.
  • Learning Coach and Instructional Facilitator
    • Ensure students are graduate‑ready through college‑level and career‑focused training across all program phases.
    • Own and deliver a twice‑weekly “Career Development and Interpersonal Relations” course.
    • Own and deliver a once‑weekly Internship Seminar for transition from internships to careers.
    • Own and deliver skills‑based seminars for graduates (resume writing, job search, interviewing, FAFSA, scholarships, college enrollment).
    • Track metrics accurately in Salesforce.com and the LMS.
    • Support students’ professional growth through facilitation and coaching.
    • Provide check‑ins and support structures complementing online learning.
    • Anticipate, identify, and respond to student needs for high‑quality services.
    • Provide regular status updates on program and participants.
    • Gather and share participant feedback to inform partners and staff.
  • National Program Team Member
    • Collaborate with national and direct‑service teams to support projects and provide coaching for students.
    • Support local program teams with execution needs related to the high‑support/high‑expectations model.
    • Provide status updates on projects and participants, highlighting achievements and addressing concerns.
    • Develop materials for replication and scale across projects and markets.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • At least 5+ years of experience facilitating, teaching, and coaching Opportunity Youth.

  • Experience as an advocate or case manager for historically underserved individuals.
  • Understanding of crisis‑intervention protocols and modalities.
  • Professional, resourceful style with initiative and independent teamwork.
  • High confidence in one‑on‑one coaching and difficult conversations.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and demonstrated collaboration across diverse teams and geography.
  • Proactive decision‑making in emotionally charged or ambiguous situations; comfortable taking risks.
  • Discretion with sensitive and confidential information.
  • Passion for working with young adults and belief in their potential.
  • Commitment to diversity and inclusion; experience engaging diverse groups with cultural competency.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word).
  • Understanding of the Opportunity Divide and its drivers.
WORKING AT YEARUPUNITED

Starting January5,2026, employees are expected to work on‑site at least two days per week (Monday‑Thursday depending on job requirements). Eligible applicants must live and work in a state where YearUpUnited operates. Eligible states include Connecticut, Indiana, NewHampshire, NewJersey, SouthCarolina, Virginia and approved proximate states (e.g.,StateXlinkstohttps://www.yearup.org/job-training/locations).

COMPENSATION&BENEFITS

Salary Range:$70,500–$82,000(#LI‑Hybrid). This exempt role is salaried. Benefits include comprehensive healthcare and dental coverage, a 401(k) match for eligible participants, and paid vacation (three weeks in the first year, four weeks thereafter).
