Job summary

Elevo is seeking an enthusiastic Elevo Coach to lead K-8 students through structured, engaging activities and sports using our SEL-centered curriculum in California. You will foster teamwork, manage group dynamics, and collaborate with school staff and fellow coaches to create a welcoming program environment.

This role requires coaching or youth leadership experience, and a positive role model mindset. You will keep activities on schedule for groups up to 20 and adapt quickly when plans shift.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching, playing sports, or leading youth activities.
• Ability to model positive behavior and support student development.
• Comfortable working with groups of up to 20 students.
• Reliable, energetic, and able to adapt to changing plans.

Monday: 10am to 5:30pm (3 hour shifts)

Tuesday: 10am to 5:30pm (3 hour shifts)

Wednesday: 10am to 5:30pm (3 hour shifts)

Thursday: 10am to 5:30pm (3 hour shifts)

Friday: 10am to 5:30pm (3 hour shifts)

Saturday: N/A

Expected Hourly Rate: $21

The Role

As An Elevo Coach, You Will

• Lead K-8 students through structed, engaging activities and sports using Elevo's curriculum


• Manage group dynamics and support positive student behavior


• Partner with school staff and fellow coaches to create a welcoming program environment


• Show up consistently as a role model who helps students build confidence and social skills

About You

• Experience coaching, playing sports, working in education, or leading youth in any setting (e.g., camp counseling, youth programs, childcare)


• Lead by example as a confident, positive role model students want to follow


• Bring energy and presence that holds a group of up to 20 students' attention


• Stay calm and empathetic when managing behavior or redirecting a tough moment


• Build trust quickly with students, families, and school staff


• Run activities on time and adapt on the fly when plans shift


• Collaborate with fellow coaches and school partners


• Motivated by Elevo's mission to support student well-being

Additional Requirements

• Eligible to work in the U.S.; pass Live Scan Background check and TB screening


• 18+ with high school diploma or GED

Physical Requirements

Candidates must be able to engage in the following activities with or without a reasonable accommodation:
