Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS) is seeking a Program Evaluator for the Tobacco Prevention and Control Program. The role conducts complex management studies and analyzes statewide health surveillance data to improve programs.

The incumbent designs surveillance systems, analyzes survey data, and conducts program evaluations to guide adjustments and resource use for the Health Promotion Bureau.

Formación

• Three years experience conducting studies to evaluate operations, programs and procedures.
• Three years experience in descriptive statistics (mean, median, mode).
• Three years experience interpreting laws, rules, regulations and procedures.
• Six months experience designing studies with goals, data sources and sampling.
• Six months experience making recommendations based on findings.
• Six months experience in narrative report writing.
• Knowledge of inferential statistics (correlation, t-tests, ANOVA).

Responsabilidades

• Interview agency staff and observe work processes for evaluation data.
• Review and interpret data related to policies, procedures and operations.
• Analyze data and develop solutions or alternative methods.
• Evaluate effectiveness of operations against established goals.
• Provide technical assistance for management objectives and controls.
• Study relevant legislation, orders and regulations.
• Document findings and prepare recommendations for new systems or changes.
• May supervise administrative staff.
