Hours: An average of 15–20 hours per week over the course of the fiscal year; flexible schedule. Position is primarily remote, with required in office hours and attendance at monthly board meetings.
Compensation: $30-$35 hourly as an Independent Contractor, commensurate with experience. Opportunity for compensation increases based on achievement of key milestones.
Position Summary
The Foundation is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and mission-driven Program & Engagement Manager to support program execution, event planning, marketing, and fundraising initiatives. This part-time role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative nonprofit environment, enjoys working closely with leadership and volunteers, and excels at managing multiple priorities.
Key Responsibilities
General: This position answers directly to the President with the Vice President as backup. The President will direct the work which involves board member/committee chair interaction.
Program & Event Coordination
- Collaborate directly with committee chairs under the direction of the President to design, plan, and execute programs, community events, and fundraising initiatives
- Develop and maintain the Foundation’s social and fundraising event calendar
- Coordinate and manage committee calendars to ensure operational alignment and efficiency
Board & Committee Support
- Coordinate logistics and scheduling for Executive Committee and Board meetings
- Prepare agendas, materials, and follow-ups as needed
Marketing & Communications
- Create, manage, and maintain the Foundation’s social media platforms
- Create and schedule engaging content to promote events, initiatives, and impact
- Support email communications and outreach (e.g., via Constant Contact)
- Research and identify new funding opportunities, including grants and corporate sponsors
- Assist in preparing and submitting grant applications and funding proposals
- Help cultivate relationships with donors, sponsors, and community partners
Data & Systems Management
- Maintain and update supporter, donor, and sponsorship information across systems (e.g., Eleo, Constant Contact, and Dropbox)
- Ensure accurate recordkeeping, document management, and accessibility
- Support tracking of sponsorships, donations, and engagement activities
Operations Support
- Provide general operational support to ensure smooth day-to-day organizational workflows
- Maintain organized records, files, and internal documentation
Qualifications
- Prior experience in nonprofit coordination, operations, or program management preferred
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Familiarity with social media platforms and marketing content creation
- Experience with fundraising, grant writing, or donor management systems preferred
- Proficiency in tools such as Constant Contact, Dropbox, and CRM systems (e.g., Eleo) preferred
- Ability to work remotely while providing in-office hours as needed, including mandatory attendance at monthly board meetings
