The University of Miami's Division of Continuing and International Education is seeking part-time Program Educators for the Interior Design Certificate Program. We seek industry professionals passionate about teaching, design, and adult education.

Responsibilities include delivering engaging instruction, teaching software, drafting, rendering, space planning, and mentoring participants, with remote teaching via Zoom and flexible scheduling. Applications reviewed on rolling basis.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree or higher in Interior Design, Architecture, Spatial Design, Fine Arts, or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional industry and/or teaching experience in interior design or related disciplines.
  • Demonstrated expertise in SketchUp, AutoCAD, Adobe InDesign, and Space Planning.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

  • Supporting participant professional growth and portfolio development.

The Office of Professional Advancement is seeking qualified part-time Program Educators for the Interior Design Certificate Program. We are looking for experienced industry professionals who are passionate about teaching, design, and adult education.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must possess:

  • A master's degree or higher in Interior Design, Architecture, Spatial Design, Fine Arts, or a related field preferred
  • A minimum of 10 years of professional industry and/or teaching experience in interior design or related disciplines
  • Demonstrated expertise in SketchUp, AutoCAD, Adobe InDesign, and Space Planning
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Preferred qualifications include
  • Experience teaching adult learners in professional, continuing education, or higher education settings
  • Knowledge of current interior design trends, materials, and industry standards
  • Professional licensure or certifications related to interior design or architecture

Additional Requirements
  • Reliable internet access and the ability to teach remotely via Zoom

These are part‑time staff positions. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis based on instructional needs, and the applicant pool will remain open throughout the academic year.

Please note that appointments and course assignments are contingent upon student enrollment, program needs, and available funding. Final confirmation of teaching assignments may not occur until classes begin. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.
