Job summary

New Destiny Housing Corporation seeks a full-time Program Director to provide on-site services at two Bronx locations, ensuring trauma-informed practice in case management and community organizing. The role reports to the Regional Director and requires one late night per week.

The Program Director will supervise staff and coordinate with external partners to deliver on-site support. Qualifications include a Master’s degree (preferred) in psychology, social work, or related field, with 5+ years

Qualifications

• Master’s degree preferred in psychology, social work, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ work experience in a client-facing nonprofit.
• Minimum 3–5 years of supervisory experience in a social service setting.
• Familiarity with survivors of domestic violence and/or homelessness.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, SharePoint and PowerPoint.
• Experience with trauma-informed care.

Responsibilities

• Lead tenant engagement and community organizing across two sites.
• Supervise case managers and provide survivor-centered guidance.
• Coordinate operations, data entry, and housing stability goals.
• Collaborate with family support staff and community partners.
• Oversee incidents, safety concerns, and crises as needed.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and staff development.
