Job summary

VetsEZ in Jackson, Mississippi seeks a Program Director to oversee the statewide HIE implementation, operation, and Health Data Utility development. This role blends strategy, governance, and executive stakeholder engagement to drive participation growth and program performance.

Onsite in Jackson, MS with travel within Mississippi to facilities and stakeholder meetings as needed; position is contingent on contract award.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in health administration, public health, information systems or related field.
• 12+ years of relevant experience in HIE or health information programs.
• Experience leading healthcare technology, governance and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Lead statewide HIE strategy, governance, and program performance.
• Build relationships with State leadership, hospital executives, and community stakeholders.
• Direct provider outreach and communicate the value of HIE participation.
• Oversee budgets, staffing, vendors, and service performance.
• Track adoption, report progress, and guide long-term sustainability.
• Coordinate with onboarding and operational teams to resolve escalations.
